My husband and I have been together for eight years and married for one. The last two years he's had this horrible mustache, One night he told me the only reason he had it was because I hated it and he thought it was funny I was so against it.

I cane home from the store one night and he walked out of the bathroom, and my arch enemy, the mustache, was gone. He looked FANTASTIC, (he always does but I was in shock so it was amazing) he asked me if I liked it, I told him he looked gorgeous. He said "is that really all it took? maybe I'm good enough for you now." I told him that he's always been attractive to me but I liked it a lot.

Fast forward a few weeks and I actually miss it... I told him and he started to laugh. After two years of complaining he does something about it and now I miss it. He told me he won't grow it back just to mess with me.

Has anyone else ever grown attached to their man's facial hair, or am I in the minority?

Nope, if there's any hair growth then I can't wait for clean-shaven.

I have sensitive skin and kissing + facial hair is a no no.

Lol.

My hubby doesn't have a mustache, but he does have a bit of a goatee. I love it. :) If/when he shaves it off, I'll miss it. I hope he doesn't shave it off for awhile. He also has long (for a guy) hair, which I love

As you can tell, in my avatar he didn't have a goatee yet. It's been a year since that picture was taken. :)

ditto. my bf leaves me all red and chapped from his goatee and i sometimes get small pimples on my upper lip. i seriously dislike facial hair on men, even though the bf has some. it does make him look good and i'd miss seeing him that way, but i wish he'd shave it off

The stubble. Oh, the stubble!!!!

He calls it 'scruffy' but it ups his sex appeal a million times over.

Yes I have.

I really love my boyfriend beard or 5 o'clock shadow so much I ask him not to shave.

I just really love the feeling of his hairy cheeks and chain.

I have had a mustache for all of our marriage. I have mentioned taking it off and my wife is vehement that I keep it. "I have to look at it more than you do! "

I have threatened but never shaved it. Maybe...one day.... It would be very ironic if I do and she likes it off!

Get a Groucho Marx poster, put it over your bed, and let your husband catch you masturbating to it.

He'll get the message.

HAHAHAHA, i love it ... OP, pls try this. :)

If you don't use it as a powerplay, no use at all at this point.

Tell her you will shave it off unless she does something. :p

My wife much preferred me with a beard and mustache. She messaged me at work once to tell me she had dyed her hair..so I told her I had shaved. She freaked out, "Nnoooooo!!!!". I told her I'd send her a pic, and did, of my still intact beard. Haha she was pissed but it was funny ^^

Anyway, in a nutshell the answer is "yes" but she had always openly preferred it.

My H used to have a neat, trim beard. I really liked it, looked very distinguished on him. A few years ago, when it started to go a bit too grey for his liking, he decided to shave it off.

It was weird at first, because he'd had it the whole time we dated. But it was only a week or so before I got used to his new look. He's pretty darn cute either way, so it's a win-win for me. :)

My husband is normally clean shaven. I love it when he has a goatee, but he says it is too itchy. We have agreed that he will keep it for special occasions, like Valentine's Day, our anniversary or when we have to attend parties.

The goatee looks very sexy on my husband. *sigh*

I've never thought of it that way, I'm just replying to say that this has been one of my favourite thread titles for a while :D

Does he wash and trim it regularly when it's grown? If I don't do those things...yeah it gets unbearable. Sometimes I end up thinning it to the point of nonexistence just to let my face breath some, still looks like a goatee though.

Of course it varies from person to person. I had a friend with very kinky hair and he couldn't let anything grow because he would invariably get ingrown hairs.
