Jane2011 Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Would you like her to take them off? Just kidding. Here's my real question. Would it bother you if a woman wore a skirt pretty much every time you saw her? I used to have the opposite problem. I always wore jeans or pants. I never, ever wore a skirt or a dress. And I used to wonder...does he think it's kinda bad that I never wear a skirt or a dress even though we're around women who do? Surely he must think...why doesn't *she* ever wear a skirt? In the past three months, I've become addicted to wearing skirts. To the point that now I never wear jeans or pants. I literally don't wear them anymore. (I will a bit more when winter hits, but I'm in the sweltering hot South, and so it's partly out of being newly-addicted fashion-wise to skirts, but also that it's simply less hot to wear knee-length skirts than long pants or jeans. And I don't like shorts, so they're out). Would it bother you if a woman was always wearing a skirt, or is this less of a problem than one who is always wearing pants?
MrCastle Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 When in doubt, wear leggings. They should have stopped making jeans once those things were made.
Author Jane2011 Posted September 3, 2012 Author Posted September 3, 2012 To clarify...the reason I ask is that I wonder if there's some kind of reverse criticism. A woman who never wears skirts or dresses..."not feminine" A woman who *always* wears skirts or dresses....."trying to be feminine all the time" In other words, are women damned if they do and damned if they don't??
Author Jane2011 Posted September 3, 2012 Author Posted September 3, 2012 You're overthinking this about a 100 times more than men actually care Yeah, I know.
kaylan Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 She can wear what she wants, but I do prefer variety.
runner Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Dear OP, i was thinkng about expendables 3 next week, wanna come ? cheers, PS, taking them off works for me
Pyro Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 She can wear skirts all she likes unless it happens to fall between November and March. If she did I would question her sanity.
Author Jane2011 Posted September 3, 2012 Author Posted September 3, 2012 Dear OP, i was thinkng about expendables 3 next week, wanna come ? cheers, PS, taking them off works for me Is that a movie? If so, yes, I want to go! 1
Pyro Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Dear OP, i was thinkng about expendables 3 next week, wanna come ? cheers, PS, taking them off works for me That is pretty impressive considering that part 3 is only a rumor right now. 1
oaks Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Would you like her to take them off? Sometimes I'd like to be the one to take them off. Just kidding. Here's my real question. Would it bother you if a woman wore a skirt pretty much every time you saw her? I preferred your first question. Ok, no, it wouldn't bother me so long as a skirt was appropriate for whatever we're doing. Hiking up a mountain in a skirt - perhaps not the ideal clothing choice. Most social events - perfect choice.
Ninjainpajamas Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Personally there are certain body types I don't find skirts to be attractive... 1) Shorter women with thick legs/calves which makes you look more like a stumpy mythical dwarf 2) Bone-legged stick legs that make you look more like a flamingo minus the pink I think skirts accentuate the legs on a woman's body...So It's like walking around with low cleavage which accentuate the breast, the bigger, the more noticeable. Ultimately it will be up to the man and his particular taste...he may or may not care, and in most situations men do not notice such patterns unless obvious. He probably won't even pick up that you're wearing a skirt unless he's thinking about sticking his hand underneath there or you've got really nice legs. If it's hot as hell I'd recommend wearing what you feel the most relief and comfort in. Otherwise If you're going out to meet men or out in a crowded place where you may be interested in catching someones eye, I think it's best to dress for what looks best on you. Overall I can't say whether I prefer jeans, skirts or shorts etc on a woman because it really depends on the woman, her body type and what looks best on her. Plus are they long skirts, short skirts? what do her legs look like?
Lonely Ronin Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 I have seen women looking very feminine in both. I remember in college a blouse, nice fitting jeans, and pumps were a thing.
rocketman122 Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Would it bother you if a woman wore a skirt pretty much every time you saw her? No, it wouldnt, but different skirts, not all the same height/design. do you also wear dresses? I love flowery dresses... I myself can wear polo and jeans all the time so I fall in the same situation as you. 1
Author Jane2011 Posted September 3, 2012 Author Posted September 3, 2012 No, it wouldnt, but different skirts, not all the same height/design. do you also wear dresses? I love flowery dresses... I myself can wear polo and jeans all the time so I fall in the same situation as you. I've been dating a guy for three and a half weeks and seen him nine times in that time period. I've worn a dress once, jeans once, and the other seven times, I wore a knee-length skirt and a shirt. He's probably used to it. He looks the same every time I see him too. In fact, he looks even more "the same" than I do. The thing is, I'm not into a bunch of other looks that exist. I don't like wearing shorts of any kind. I'm also not into capri pants. My choices are either jeans and pants or dresses and skirts. That being said, these skirts I'm talking about are casual. They're not dressy skirts or anything. I'm wearing them in the same spirit that one wears shorts; they just happen to be skirts instead. I know some other girls (not friends of mine, but acquaintances) who only wear skirts, too. There's this one woman who I've never actually seen in pants. Literally ever. Another woman as well. I guess if they're doing it, I can too.

Or you think it's the only thing you look good in? What's your story?
rocketman122 Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 BTW, is it because you like jeans and polo shirts a lot and don't like to veer? Or you think it's the only thing you look good in? What's your story? Yes, I like them a lot. as a bodybuilder, its also what I look good in. I wear size smedium so it sits nice and snug. I dont wear it all the time because I also wear button down shirts (especially DK/ANF) and slim straight docker pants. I too dont wear shorts-AT ALL. I hate them. blistering heat and I will still wear jeans. I love skirts on a woman. hiding under them from the boogie monster u can get kinky with them as well:) regarding men and clothing, almost all, or most have no clue how to dress. in every relationship, its the woman who winds up dressing the man. they have no sense of fashion or style. and btw, they are 2 different things. lacking a sense of fashion-anyone can go to hugo boss and choose something thats fashionable, it doesnt mean u have a sense of style. knowing how to dress takes both. choosing fashionable clothing and having a sense of style by knowing how to mix and match.

Can't talk about other guys, but a woman who wears mostly skirts is hotter than a woman who wears mostly jeans. Jeans mould on the butt and the legs so they leave less to the imagination. Skirts keep things mysterious, feminine. Also look at what other women there wear ... i mean besides moo-moo's, see how many wear pants vs how many wear skirts. The one in lowest supply is usually in greatest demand.
Pasttense Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 A lot depends on what kinds of activities you are going to be engaged in: skirts are more appropriate for going dancing; jeans are more appropriate for going on a hike.
ascendotum Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Would it bother you if a woman was always wearing a skirt, or is this less of a problem than one who is always wearing pants? Not at all, though as NP pointed out there are some women where the skirt does not do them justice. I would suspect for most men, your question would have caused more controversy if it was the opposite of what you posed. I certainly would not be pondering it, if a new girl I was seeing was showing up wearing dresses all the time. For me I am happy with variety in style.
Els Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 She can wear skirts all she likes unless it happens to fall between November and March. If she did I would question her sanity. Now why would a woman not want to wear skirts in the summer???
Pyro Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Now why would a woman not want to wear skirts in the summer??? American calendar
Els Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 American calendar Darn upside-down people! In all seriousness, OP, I second Brahmabull's answer. I don't think the majority of men would care, especially if you look good in them. 1
Eternal Sunshine Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 I wear skirts on my fat days and jeans on my thin days. Jeans are less forgiving. I went through a stage where I felt I was too fat to wear anything but skirts for a year. 1
carhill Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Would it bother you if a woman wore a skirt pretty much every time you saw her? Nope, as a skirt can be and is very versatile and varied in style and look and can range from very sexy and provocative to very conservative. It can be short and tight or long and flowing and everything in between. 1
ThaWholigan Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 It wouldn't bother me at all, but variety as they say is the spice of life. Skirt for a week, then the next day she turns up at my house with batty riders and leggings - jeans, leggings, whatever.
