1cor1313 Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 I have a male friend who I've started spending a lot of time with lately. Over the summer, we spent a lot of time talking and at one point he came to visit me and we spent a wonderful day together. Now that we're living in the same state, we see each other a great deal more. Typically it's in passing when there are other people around, but we've also gotten together, just the two of us a couple times. He came over to my place to watch a movie the first time. My roommate was home and kept bothering us, and he seemed a bit awkward around her. So it didn't really surprise me when he asked me over to his place the other night to watch a movie. When I got to his place, he had made dinner for the two of us and we spent time talking over his well-intended attempt at cooking. When it came time to watch the movie, he instructed where to sit - which was on one loveseat, while he took the other. Granted, neither of the loveseats faced the tv, so sitting on the same one would have made it difficult for either person to actually see the screen, but I was a little take aback by it. Well, we watched the movie, and after the movie we went for a long walk under the stars, then went back to his house for a drink. It was late when I said I should leave, and we hugged goodbye. He hugged me really tight and long and for a brief moment at the end of the hug it seemed like he was lingering but he didn't make a move, just smiled down at me. I'm getting mixed signals from him and maybe I'm just being impatient, but I can't figure out if this was a date or just hanging out as friends. He's a very traditional and accommodating guy, so I don't want to be blunt and just ask him if he's into me or make that all-powerful "first move" because I think he might get offended if I do that. Sorry about the long rambled, but just kinda needed to get it off my chest!
