Many a good book has been suggested here in the various threads, "not just friends" etc. But what about some movies that you have found to really help? I've got a bunch in mind but I'll just list one to start:

1. Yes Man - Jim Carey

I Strongly recommend "Yes Man". The message it sends about getting the hell out there and doing even the wackiest things REALLY helps you look forward instead of dwelling on the past. Plus a good laugh never hurts when you find yourself in pain.

Regardless of wether you are "going it alone" or reconciling, I WISH US ALL STRENGTH AND GOOD FORTUNE!!

So post your favorites and click like if you see one you love that someone else has already posted!

Along Came Polly (2004) - IMDb

"Reuben Feffer thinks he's found the love of his life but on his honeymoon he discovers her cheating on him with a scuba instructor. Reuben travels back home to get his life on track. On a night out with best pal, Sandy Lyle, Reuben discovers an old school friend, Polly Prince."

When his new wife stays behind to bang the scuba instructor, I would say he get's a pass on the technicality of an anullment.

Sorry, that's no excuse for cheating.

Unfaithful

"I didn't want to kill him I wanted to kill you" hehehe;)

As far as feel good movies for us betrayed and former betrayed, I liked it when Adam Sandler's triflin' beyotch ended up becoming a Hooter's girl at the end of the movie Big Daddy

Old balls....

And the girl he hooked up with at the end looked better than the Hooter Hooker selling gross chicken wings at night.

Annie Hall by Woody Allen is a great film about relationships and how people change during them.

Friends with Money

Jennifer Anniston plays the OW. It gave me another perspective on the emotions the OW might feel. And how some BSs believe the one night stand excuse. Although I don't get how a 2 month relationship can cause someone to become so emotionally attached to someone.

Shattered is playing on Netflix right now so I decided to watch it again. I first saw it when it came out on dvd. My husband had rented it and we watched thinking it was a thriller and both were squirming at the end when we realized what was really going on. I almost wanted to giggle a little looking at him sinking into his seat mentally face palming himself for renting that movie.

I only watched it that once. It was way too triggery for me at the time.

Watching it now is kind of fun. It's not often that I get every single reference,in-joke, in a movie and this one is chock full on the second viewing.

I just passed the part when Neil is in the car with the BH and is saying to him

"So you got a child of your own and you put us through this? What's he gonna think of the two of you when this comes out?" The look on Brosnans face. This movie is pretty delicious, for BS that are a few years into processing the pain.

As I chill here with the laptop in front of me I am watching "The Dilemma" with Vince Vaughn and Kevin James.

It seems to be fairly unique as the story is really that of the FRIEND of the betrayed spouse and the dilemma that he is jammed up with.
