Engaged but missing ex, now what?

OP, i think in the back in your mind you know you need to do the right thing. sit down your current "fiance" and tell him EXACTLY how you feel, don't use excuses to try and justify why you feel like this, if you don't think he is a great guy etc don't tell him that because it will hurt more. tell him what needs to be said. if you can't find the words, print out exactly what you posted on here and show him it.

 

You're worried about not having a guy when you're 30? Are you for real? And here is where you use your insecurities to justify why you feel like this. My mum is 47, 5 months ago she got back with an ex from her childhood. You are never too old to find love. So quit the crap with your insecurities.

 

It might sound harsh but it's the truth. And that's what you need to hear.

And i honestly don't believe you love your ex, I believe you miss him because you haven't got him wrapped around your finger. In time you will forget him, IN TIME. this does not mean to say in a week or even in a month.

But if you step away from men, relationships and engagements you will find time for you, and in the time for you you will leave no time for thinking about such things.

 

THERAPY. is a big yes yes, go and talk to someone. You need to or you run the risk of destroying ever relationship you will ever get into.

 

The other day, I was thinking about an ex who lives at the bottom of the UK and I couldn't think for the life of me what his name was! That is when you know you are truly over someone. And it was in 2007 I dated him.

 

Take time out for you eg take up a hobbie, get some pampering time, invite your girls out DO NOT go looking for guys or get your girls round with some fast food, join and gym. After you've decided what ones of them you're going to do, get in therapy. It will do you the world of good.

 

Who knows, if you give yourself a break from "having" to be in a relationship you might just find someone who you want to be with not because you're scared of being alone
