Depends on the woman. Some women can compartmentalise and focus solely on performance in bed. Others don't care about performance, as long as it's reasonable and enthusiastic.

Hot girls are good to look at but so are cute to above average ones and those are usually the ones that I fixate on, if at all.

I think part of it is social conditioning.

 

When i was a teenager and in my early 20's i liked skinny women then as i grew older my taste started to change to women with curves..

 

Did my taste just change or did the media convince me that women with curves and a big ass are hot by sexualizing them starting with JLo?

Some women can compartmentalize and have sex with any guy she's attracted to. Others can't, where they need emotional involvement. This doesn't mean they're not attracted to hot men.

Because not all women are exactly the same when it comes to arousal or have sex for the exact same reasons? There are many reasons for which women have sex with men who they don't find attractive and not all of them are linked to her sexual pleasure.

Lack of options. All things equal, men and women would chose the more attractive mate...this is provided that they havent already emotionally bonded with either person already.
