henderson14 Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 Slept with a girl I was dating and before that we always had awesome phone conversations and so much chemistry. Also, the morning after wasn't really awkward at all. It was only the next time we talked over the phone. I talked to her on the phone a few days later and it was so awkward compared to the other times we talked and even the morning after. It involved a long night of drinking also. For the first time even I'm wondering if I should have waited a little longer. I'm hoping when we see each other in person again things will be like normal again. Is this normal? It's never been like this before with me.
spiderowl Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 Awkward in what way? Did she not want to chat? Did she seem cold? Hard to guess without a bit further info.
Author henderson14 Posted August 29, 2012 Author Posted August 29, 2012 Just more awkward silences and not very natural conversations on the phone. NO joking around.
RedRobin Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 She probably figured out you were in it for something more casual (after the fact) and may be regretting things. Seems like a good time to tell her you are seeing others and see how she takes it, or just let this one go and think about being up front next time.

I mean I'm the one who felt awkward on the phone and usually lead and set the tone for the phone conversations.

He says he feels awkward after they had sex and your answer is for him to lie and tell her he's seeing someone else? Did I miss something?
GLDheart Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 You were lousy in bed and she doesn't want round two.
RedRobin Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 Wait a sec. He says he feels awkward after they had sex and your answer is for him to lie and tell her he's seeing someone else? Did I miss something? There is another thread where he said he had sex with a girl after the 3rd date but has all these other girls he wants to see (and my impression) are seeing simultaneously... Was asking advice on how to do that... I'm assuming it is the same girl, but could be wrong. Could be another one in his 'queue'. He isn't lying if he says he is seeing others... he'd be being honest with someone he slept with. If real intimacy is lacking and the 'spark' has died due to don't ask don't tell, I'm just not terribly surprised or sympathetic.

My advice is the same. Not everyone is comfortable withholding important information from people they sleep with. Maybe you are one of them and your (or her) subconscious is calling you on it. Happens.
