Friend Trying to Set Me Up

One of my close friends from work (close with her and her boyfriend who also works with us) has been looking to set me up with a friend of hers. We had all already hung out, but my friend really downplayed it the first time (or I was just oblivious) so I really didn't know she was trying to hook us up. Anyways, that was back a couple months ago. We all had a good time and the girl said she enjoyed my company and would want the four of us to do something again for sure. Since then, my friend has talked about really trying to fix the two of us up, going on a double date with her and her boyfriend, but scheduling always got in the way (among other things). She says we'd be really good with each other, have very similar personalities, interests, etc. And she is actually very, very attractive. I don't think I am bad looking myself, but by the looks of her she is a little above my league haha. But my friend really wants it to happen and her friend said she would definitely want to do something with all four of us.

 

I've been on a good amount of dates, successful and not so much, like anybody else. But I have not been too familiar with double dates. So I would very much appreciate any advice for it. Based on the one time I met her and how my friend talks her up to me (she does the same thing with me to her friend too), I would definitely like to get to know her better and go from there. We are planning on something next week (maybe mini golf or something) and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't anxious! Thanks for any advice!

Double dating can be GREAT!

It takes a huge amount of pressure off when there is four of you, it usually flows really well. There is less of a chance of having that akward silence. And if you click you can ask her out. If not, at least you don't have that uncomfortable "how to end the date" moment!
