dp421685 Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Broken up for about 3 weeks now and been in NC for about roughly the same. Have been avoiding social media sites - FB, Twitter, Instagram. Haven't looked until today... Friend mentioned me in a post and I wanted to check out the link. I did, however, with my luck, the first thing that came up on my timeline was my ex's status. It was a song lyric from a pretty sad song (I looked it up): "And it’s only love, and it’s only love that can wreck a human being and turn them [him] inside out." She changed "him" to "them". Anyways, I may be over-analyzing this, but I think this is geared towards our situation, some subliminal/cryptic message. I may be having a type of NC relapse, but I am feeling just fine. I am just curious and wanted to know what y'all thought? What do you think these lyrics mean to you/her?
outofgoodbyes Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 you can never really know, thats why social networks is suicide.. youre going to sit there overanalyzing it... and of course, depending which side of your brain you let win, youre gonna either think theyre hurting for you or theyre hurting for someone else.. but the lyrics are true... maybe just what shes feeling at the moment...
Mcnulty Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 It's a song by Kate Mcgarrigle, The Corrs did a cover of it, it's called Heart Like a Wheel, the rest of the lyrics are a retrospective on lost love and maybe how it can't be mended once it's broke....look it up and good luck.
