To the guys out there.....when you shut down and don't contact your 'ex' for a while, what are your reasons? I have been with my ex for 2 years. He said he loved me so much that he hated me for making him love me. Then he broke it off. He called and emailed a few times. But now he has completely shut me out. I texted him a funny message and he didn't respond. Is he trying to push me away or doesn't want the drama or....can he really turn that cold that fast.

I would just let him know how you feel, tell him what you want, and then sit back. If he wants to be with you, he will. I used to do that with my ex. I used to get so mad at her, that I would stay angry at her for weeks. I was terrible at communication, and am regretting it terribly right now. Give him a break. Guys are not as in touch with this stuff as women. If he's under 30, he might be inexperienced in this. He'll be back if he wants to. Go out with someone else, it may get him back to see that another guy is into you.

He is 30 but has been married and divorced. I haven't contacted aobut our relationship. I have sent a few funny txt messages and an email telling him I was here if he needed me. I am sure him seeing me with someone else would drive him nuts. But, we don't live in the same city. People keep telling me that he needs to see that I am moving on, but how will he see that when we live 3 hrs apart?

He only needs to know about it. If he doesn't eant to get back with you, tell him you can be freinds. Then, as freinds, drop hints about your new dates and see how he reacts.

BTW 3 hours apart is VERY difficult. I tried it once with a 10 and it messed me up. You just cant see each other enough.
