Loss Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Hi guys, I met with a really nice girl on one of the online dating sites. We went out 2 weeks ago and had a great time. We both felt comfortable and everything felt right. A day later I asked her out again, and we went out this Friday. We had a pretty good time but not as good as the first, but we hugged a lot and held hands...and now I feel like I'm really missing her. On the date I asked her to meet her again - she seemed a little hesitant at first but quickly agreed and it worried me a little. I also noticed that she recently updated her profile on the dating site....We've been texting each other almost everyday and I really want to tell her how much I miss her but don't know if that's a right thing to do. Can you guys give me any advice? The third date is this coming weekend and we will be going to amusement park and maybe dinner.
fortyninethousand322 Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Do Not text her about missing her. Just go on the date like you would normally.

You're getting attached WAY too quickly, and I have no doubt you're coming off extremely needy/clingy. I did the same thing. Had a date with a guy I met, it was good, we went out on a second date and he did the whole arm around, holding my hand, hand on my thigh during the movies... it honestly made me feel slightly uncomfortable. I had only met him once prior, and for a mere 4 hours and then date 2 he's all over me. He even tried to kiss me at the end and it wasn't great at all. I haven't really been in touch since... it kind of put me off how needy he was. 1
Author Loss Posted August 27, 2012 Author Posted August 27, 2012 Hi KatZee, Thank you so much for you advice. On our date it was her who initiated the hugging and holding hands and I went with it...does that make any difference? I really think she liked me after our first date, and just worry that our second date didn't go so well and I'm afraid of making a mistake. I do believe that I'm getting too attached to her, but don't know how to not seem clingy..
soccerrprp Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Loss, you've got to demonstrate some self-control here. If you want a chance with this girl, you better pull away from "clingy" behavior. It will be the death of you and any opp for a successful relationship with this girl. This is especially true if you suspect that she may not be completely into you. Pull away! Pull away! Be confident, self-assured and you will be happy for it later down the road.
Author Loss Posted August 27, 2012 Author Posted August 27, 2012 Thank you, soccerrprp, I hope it's not too late...thank you for your advice. Should I stop texting her so much wven though our date is less than a week away?
Lobouspo Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 OP, just be careful. You met this girl on an OLD dating site. We cant always control our feelings but we can control our expectations. The good news is you have 3rd date coming up, but just assume she is messaging and meeting other dudes on the site, so dont put all your eggs in one basket. Continue to be open to meeting other people and check out other profiles and message women who catch your eye. Good luck and let us know how everything works out.
