sweetadeline Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 feeling that you're in the company of an amazing human being beats the hell out of feeling 'womanly and petite' What she said. Besides, if the guy you're with makes it clear that he finds you attractive, wouldn't that help create that ol' womanly feeling?
havNfun Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 moimeme I have little doubt that any man would think you were an amazing human being
sami Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 I have seen many tall girls dating shorter guys. Love take many different routes. Being short may be the shortest way leading to human hearts.
Pam Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 I recently divorced my ex who was about a inch shorter than me (I'm 5'8). Before him I was always with men 6 ft. or taller. I have to be honest here - being with someone shorter and smaller than me made me feel weird. He didn't help much by saying "you're a big girl" when he'd hug me. I'd say back "You're a small boy". He had short legs and small arms. I divorced him because of his "Napoleon" complex/attitude and a million other things.....his height and weight was a factor as well - I don't like being with a man who's just small (in many areas). I prefer husky, masculine men who are 6 ft. or taller in the 200 lb. range - just my taste). I hated being with a shorter man and won't do it again.
Naive Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 I dated someone who is an inch shorter than me once but it really bugged me. I never wore high heels around him, only tennis shoes!!!!!!!!!!! I hate the fact that I cannot see myself dating a shorter man again because it seems shallow, but it's just not in me!!!! I'm 5'8" and I consider that to be real tall, you would think you can find a guy in every corner of los angeles that's super tall, let me tell you that is so not true!!! I have trouble finding a guy that's at least 2 inches taller

I have trouble finding a guy that's at least 2 inches taller The average height of a male in the United States is 5'9" 1/8. 95% of the male population in the US ranges between 5'4" and 6'1". So finding a guy over 6'2" is narrowing your base down less than 5% of the US population of males on just that small criteria alone. Who knows what percentage of that 5% have the other qualities you are specifically looking for in a person. And given that its well documented in this post that many woman absolutely won't date anyone shorter than them, these <5% of the male population are in extremely high demand so there probably aren't many available. So, no, it doesn't surprise me you are having trouble finding these guys. http://www.betaller.com/average-male-height.html
