Royster Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 I've written on another site about my situation and no far no answers but hopefully someone will help out here. My gf and I've been dating 6 months now and was invited to her parents' house for the first time. Thing is I didn't expected too many relatives and I think I kinda messed it up. I'm not really a talkative guy nor party animal and didn't really say much. I got lost and didn't know what else to say (well I did but felt uneasy and didn't wanted to say something dumb). But I tried my best. Last thing I need is to be harshly judged with something I can't help that much. I hope her parents don't think I'm some type of retard or boring man. Any ideas how to be better at this next time since there will be more social gatherings.
Author Royster Posted August 26, 2012 Author Posted August 26, 2012 I've always been a shy guy by nature and during high school it was hard for me to approach a girl (that's how I once lost my chance with an old crush when another guy asked her out) and start talking. It took me a while but one day I just went for it and that's how I met my gf. However, I still have to improve. I feel so embarrassed that it reminded me of my former self in school, the shy boy sitting in the back of the classroom. Now I'm 21 but still have to get adjust to it. And this is my first gf (first girl as well too), first time I'm meeting a girl's family. I'm a newbie. Help
Author Royster Posted August 26, 2012 Author Posted August 26, 2012 Hope to see some answers soon. I went to the other site and still no answers. Anything is helpful than getting no answers.
Ami1uwant Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 You need to explain what happened in a little more detail. I cant say you did somethign wrong based on what you said or didnt say.
