paperboy48 Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Hello! I'm back in the dating game and looking to meet a special person to share my life with if the connection is strong. My number one job is being an amazing dad to my eight-year-old twins who bring me more joy than I ever could have imagined. When I'm not spending time on Lake George or watching a Buffalo Bills game, I work in the financial office for a downtown Albany law firm. If I'm being completely honest, I have to admit I love both Jimmy Buffet and Nascar - equally. Don't let that scare you, I'm always open to new experiences and for the right lady would try almost anything once. I'm looking for a special woman who is both confident and witty. Someone who is as comfortable in sweatpants on the couch as she is with a drink in her hand out on the town. Someone who is ready to be treated like a lady.
Meg717 Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 I think it sounds good! It's honest, doesn't seem desperate...Are you not getting responses or something? I'm curious what the others here will say..
Author paperboy48 Posted August 24, 2012 Author Posted August 24, 2012 Haven't posted it yet...wanted to get LS feedback first. Thanks for your feedback.
ja123 Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 It has a good tone, but I'd leave out where you work. It's the internet so you need to be a bit discreet to protect yourself. Tell that to those you meet and like. You could just mention the field you work in and that you enjoy what you do.
Art_Critic Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Remove "I'm back in the dating game".. makes you sound like you were divorced or broke up last week and who wants to date a rebound... The work thing doesn't bother me too much.. you don't say exactly where you work.. do you ?.. Other than maybe breaking up the line from work to music up a little with some other talk about an interest or 2.. you go right from work to Jimmy Buffet... Thumbs Up...
CarrieT Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Someone who is as comfortable in sweatpants on the couch as she is with a drink in her hand out on the town. They ALL say this - and ALL women will describe themselves as this... Leave it out.
