Here are some of the signs that a person is suffering from a great deal of unresolved emotional conflicts and grief.

1. person shows a great deal of distancing behaviors.

2. person wears dark makeup or eyeliner to conceal his/her eyes.

3. person wears black or dark color clothing.

4. person gets angry and then immediately shuts down at the first sign of emotional conflict.

What can be done?

Write a grief letter exploring the seven layers of grief in reference to a significant figure in your life (can be mother, father, friend, significant other, etc.)

The layers of grief are:

Anger (i feel angry, i hated it when you, it made me so mad)

Fear (i was so afraid when you..., i felt fear when...)

sadness (i felt so sad when..., I felt so alone)

sorrow (i was so so sorry for..., I apologize for..., i didn't mean to...)

forgiveness (i forgive you for...)

hope (i hope you, i wish...)

joy (i am so happy..., I am glad that you..., it makes me feel warm...)
