weallfalldown Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 I think in this section, there should be two catagories... 1. teenage breakups....... 2. Adult breakups.. At least you know what your dealing with..... 1

At least you know what your dealing with..... haha I know, it does make a difference. Love is all the same, but age does determine how mature this love is. Not to be mean, but the 16 year olds, I hardly ever respond too because they are 16! I didn't have my first bf till 18. Just because I knew it wouldn't work out anyways. I'm still young though, 23. But I still feel that I am more mature then when I was 18. I've grown up around a lot of adults and always had older friends. I was an only child too. but goodness, I'm getting off topic. Anyways... I agree with you, you-hunk-you.
Author weallfalldown Posted August 22, 2012 Author Posted August 22, 2012 well within mature relationships...26+......we're talking more serious...ie, living together, children maybe, and mortgages.........so in general a lot more to lose and deal with.....so really 3 cats......teenage, early twenties, and mature relationships...

Matt145 Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 My break up is a teenage break up but it still doesnt take anything from it. We was together 2 years and we done everything together, we was best friends the whole 2 years so i was very emotionally attached. It has got nothing on people splitting up with kids or people being divorced i know that. But it still hurts like mad, since its my first love and the fact ive never gone through anything like this before makes it harder for me thats why i came here, But me being 17 i know now not to get into a serious relationship until im about 20-21 because i pretty much cant deal with breaking up again and because most young relationships fail anyway. But i dont know what it is about me, i just always feel that i need a girl there for me to keep me secure and make me feel good about myself. I guess its just me being insecure. But im planning a career with the royal marines anyway ( hopefully ) so i wont have time for a girlfriend if i join them.

InAFog Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 I think in this section, there should be two catagories... 1. teenage breakups....... 2. Adult breakups.. At least you know what your dealing with..... I think its a great idea. While i don't discredit anyones heartbreak, there is a different dynamic to it when you have built a life and a home with someone. Every aspect of your life has been so intertwined with them. The house, finances, property, kids, animals, life changes and lots of experiences and emotions. Lord knows if i was still twenty-something i would be dealing with it very differently. But as we get older the dreaded "time" becomes quite an issue. 2
Matt145 Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 don't be a government puppet my friend...... I dont care about the government thats not what i want to join for. I want to join for other reasons.
Jennifer2012 Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 Most break ups, regardless of age, share some of the same characteristics. It really depends upon the people involved. You'd be surprised how many juvenile 35 year olds there are out there. As my friend often reminds me...some people really never leave high school.
hinatticus Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 I agree there should be categories. Especially one where there are kids involved. Having a child changes the break up dynamic. 1
Crila16 Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 I'm definitely the 30+ and will not reveal my age. I think the youngins who are just starting out, need advice from the old fogies.
