Sugarkane Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 Been in contact for ages from an OLD site. This site has a contact period and it eventually runs out so you cant contact each other. Kept asking me for more photos but I can't send them. Long story- my computer guy wiped everything off my laptop last time he fixed it. Photos and the program that enables you to take pics with webcam. He said he couldn't remember what to do. He said he'd get back to me- never did. Oddly this guy doesn't have a mobile phone and all my pics are on my phone. We've been in contact at Least a month and we haven't met. Now he's accusing me of being a liar. But how know that he's not one? I've tried everything sending the pics to my email, but nothing works. Yet he's calling me a liar. I said if you meet me I'll show you all the pics you want on my phone, if that's what you want. Then he blew me off. He lives far away so I can't just meet him at any time either. Is there anyone on OLD that isn't a weirdo?

Take your phone to someone who can help you and make sure there's nothing wrong with it. If it's an iPhone, take it to the apple store. If it's something else, take it to whatever the equivalent is. I don't blame the guy for not believing you. Your story is hard to believe, because there are so many ways to get pictures.

And even if I did send more pictures, that really isn't enough proof it's me! If I was that way inclined I could still be lying. Photos aren't enough proof. I also asked him how do I know you're being honest either? I even said I can meet you to prove it. He's stringed me along at least a month.

I would expect someone that couldn't really function in the modern world. My grandma is always trying to use the wrong remote... heck half of the time she has it pointed backwards. She sent me a txt picture of her dog 3 weeks ago.

I'd find the lack of a mobile phone suspicious too. maybe he's accusatory about the pics because he's lying about the phone? Seems plausible to me. Another way you could get pics off your phone - most smartphone charger cords have a USB end that goes into the power supply box. You plug the USB side into your computer instead of the power supply, then open your phone on your computer like you would an external storage drive. Navigate to pics, copy them from your phone to your desktop, and you send the pics via email from your desktop. I echo Emilia, there are several ways to get those pics to him if that's what you want to do.

Because I've tried and that didn't work, hence looking for answers as even my siblings couldn't tell me why. my sister has a smartphone exactly the same as mine, yet it works for her. If I can't function " in the modern world" than how does this guy live without a mobile phone "in the modern world"? As I'm not a narcissist I don't take pictures of myself endlessly.

As for you thinking that he is stringing you along, I bet he's thinking the same about you if you keep coming up with more excuses as to why you can't send him some photos.
