Long story short, I met a guy through personal training at the gym I attend. He was only down for the summer as he attends college a few hours away. We hit it off instantly; he made it clear he was interested and we talked EVERY single day and would invite me places consistantly to hang out, meet his friends, etc. We became pretty good friends and we seemed to really click, and with about a month left of the summer we ended up sleeping together. However nothing changed after that, we still talked and he still would initiate plans to see me. But last week things started getting weird; we had made plans that night to hang out and my phone broke that day so I had no way to contact him to tell him what had happened until 2 days later when I got a new phone. I didnt want him to think I stood him up or anything so I explained the situation and he played it off like he didnt know what I was talking about at first and then said that he had forgotten and not to worry. However I havent heard from him since; I had seen him one day at the gym and he had asked what I was doing later and he said he would text me if he wasnt doing anything but I never ended up hearing from him. Which is so out of his character ! Its been a little weird ever since and we havent talked at all really and I find it so strange that we went from every day all day to nothing at all.

Any idea what happened ?

He's not interested anymore. Even though you explained your phone being broken, he is no longer interested thinking that you jilted him. I'd just move on if I were you. You have to see him at the gym where you both work out, but you can just be friendly there. Don't expect him to go out of his way for you.

I don't like that one thing you said "I'll call/text if and when I have nothing to do tonight." He's putting you secondary to something else.
