Des Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 I know that when I find someone attractive, and not just attractive, but like I'm seriously into them attractive, I can't help but keep shooting glances. That's just how I operate. I don't know if others are the same way, but I assume most are. ...you know those occasions every so often where you run across one such individual, you can't keep your eyes diverted and it seems as though they can't either, and you awkwardly keep catching each other at eye level? Does that mean anything!? It has to, right? Is it possible that it doesn't? Now I know people often say eye contact alone means nothing, but I don't see how people could say that. I think there is a reason when two strangers can't divert their attention away from each other in a room or crowd full of others. I mean sure, maybe one look is nothing, maybe two. But three, four, five times? There has to be some sort of mutual attraction fueling that, right?

Women will often hold a man's eyes for about 3-5 seconds as a sure sign of interest. Then, as a man, we must now pay careful attention to their body language for further clues of attraction. I've experienced this about 3-4 times last night while out and about, but unfortunately I didn't find any of these women attractive, but at 34 years old I can definitely pick up on female cues far better than when I was a lot younger. With constant glances, it could mean anything, so it mostly boilds down to body language for definite answers. 1
GLDheart Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Eye contact alone is just a sign of good attention. I hold the eye contact of anyone that is speaking to me if I care about what they are saying. What shaun-dro is referring to is "spotting attraction" and it is step one and far more than just simple eye contact.
