Fayebelle Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 So everyone always focuses on the gripes of getting older- well I want to talk about the goodies that come w/age. I was always an athlete when I was younger but off the field/court I was a clumsy ox. Now I seem to have more natural grace - maybe it comes from being more comfortable in my own body. I'm not sure. But unless I'm confronted w/ a new and total hottie (in which case I revert into my oafish demeaner of old) I fell I present myself in a Much more ladylike manner. Patience is the other gift I hold dear. My temper tantrums are down to 2 a day which is really quite an improvement.
Author Fayebelle Posted July 15, 2004 Author Posted July 15, 2004 Everyone said they would like a few positive threads and I've been trying lately but it sure feels like I'm talking to the crickets sometimes.
thecake Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 I love the wisdom I've attained from getting older...I like the "been there - done that" feeling I have about a lot of things. I'm one of those weird people who couldn't WAIT to turn 30 simply because I learned so much in my 20's and I was ready to apply these lessons to life in my 30's. I love that I've lived long enough to understand that I'll get through really tough times...that nothing - good or bad - lasts forever. There's a comfort in knowing that...so you can appreciate the good and know you'll get through everything else. Patience? What's that? Ha. Yeah...I've learned to be patient...and more understanding about a lot of things....a little less judgmental.
