Shotputter Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Is it just my town where the only thing people wanna do is burn? I personally have issues with stress and anxiety and usually have really bad highs. Sometimes it's enjoyable but it never really seems worth it for me... Why does it seem like all people wanna do is smoke (this includes mostly ever girl i know)
SmileFace Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Move... end of story. In the neighborhood I live right now this is what everyone my age does - this is why I do not communicate with anyone around or date anyone from around here. I really don't have anything in common with the people here - it sucks. 1

I personally have issues with stress and anxiety and usually have really bad highs. Sometimes it's enjoyable but it never really seems worth it for me... Why does it seem like all people wanna do is smoke (this includes mostly ever girl i know) This is something I have dealt with for years myself. I don't really have a problem not smoking (occasionally I indulge), so it's never been a problem. You don't have to smoke if you don't want to, just assert your boundaries and people will/should understand. Failing that, if you find it difficult, try to find a new social circle to hang out in. About 90% of the people I know smoke weed, but strangely most of the girls I meet fleetingly as acquaintances don't.
MrCastle Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 I have a weird stance on pot. I'm not into, never tried it, never had a desire to try it, but I think it should be legalized. The problem is a lot of young people these days don't actually look at pot as a drug. I can't count the number of women who have told me "No I don't do drugs. I smoke pot though." Pot smoking is very unattractive to me and I pretty much turn down any girl who does it. That's just me. I'm not going to tell them how to live their lives, it's just not something I can relate to. We all get our kicks from somewhere. Some people drink, some do drugs, some party, some gamble. I was never into any of that. Women are my vice.
proseandpassion Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 I'm in the same boat. I will on occasion, but like... 3x a year at the most. I find stoners to be exhausting, dull friends... (when they are sober they are far more fun). It's like being friends with an invalid. I have to go their house (because they are too lazy to leave the house), they never want to go out to a meal (too lazy), and they usually end up falling asleep. I won't date anyone who is a regular weed smoker.
Author Shotputter Posted August 15, 2012 Author Posted August 15, 2012 My ex was a huge pothead and i feel like one of the reasons she broke up with me was cause i didn't smoke "enough" with her and her friends..

mortensorchid Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 I used to, years ago. Then I realized "why am I doing this?" and I don't anymore. There are lots of people who don't smoke weed, just like there are those who don't drink or smoke cigarettes or do other drugs. We never seem to come down on them for it. In fact we get up in arms if someone smokes a legal cigarette but doesn't smoke something illegal. Just because you don't doesn't mean that you're any less of a person, or they are any more because they do. Either accept it and move on, or find other friends who don't.
