Men: are hair extensions a turn off?

I am talking about permanent ones that you don't just take off every night. They are intended to give a super long haired look. There is no way to tell unless you try to run your fingers through her hair and touch a small metal bead :)

Would you dump a girl over it?

I like your style Pierre. youre very sharp. nothing to do with this post. just FYI. cheers!

I went out with a girl who had extensions. It was a turn off. it reminded me somewhat of dreadlocks and it felt like she was dirty, unhygienic . I didnt want to run my fingers through her hair after the first time. Im a bit of metrosexual and I shower and keep myself smelling nice and my partner needs to be the same. she didnt have such a great smell. not bad but not great.

@rocketman

stop dating dirty girls who don't bathe...

It has nothing to do with the extensions...you can shampoo it like regular hair.your girl was just dirty.

Op...

If it looks hot... Guys don't really care.

They rant how they don't like girls with fake hair, fake lashes, caked on makeup...

But yet they drool over them. Guys are stupid lol.

I'd take it as a sign of insecurity.

I'd much prefer her with short hair.

Some women look awesome even bald.

I wouldn't mind. Slyly, I do superficially prefer longer hair over shorter hair. Usually it's because there are women who suit shorter hair more, and women who suit longer hair, and a lot of the time I meet women with short hair who look weird because it doesn't suit them. So I would never rule out dating a girl with short hair (I've liked a few) but I prefer longer.

So basically, hair extensions aren't really a turn off to me.

Extensions and dreadlocks are clean if the person is clean. Maybe you should learn to date women who shower and wash their hair.

It is not so much the hair, but being so shallow and vain.

Do you feel that way about makeup as well?

Either way, while I prefer a girls natural hair, Im not gonna hate on a girl for using extensions from time to time....many girls do it.

Bald I know! Like amber rose kanye west ex gf is a good example.

It's not always a sign of insecurity...

Some girls just like playing around with their looks. One day you can have long hair the next day have short hair. It's not that serious like some make it out to be " sign of insecurity"... Rolls eyes.

really??? I think she looks like a regular girl with long hair. I like how the bald hair look shows off her face, I think it makes her features stand out more. She has a pretty face. Long hair makes her look blah :)IMO

Fair enough, I can actually see how you came to that conclusion. Likely, I am biased probably because I prefer longer hair on women. But I've seen quite a lot of women who looked good with shorter hair. I met a girl who had the bald thing going on and she looked pretty good.

I'm not going to lie, a big reason why I prefer longer hair is because I use it as a handle in the bedroom. I'm always afraid if I pull too hard on a girl's hair in bed and she has extensions, they'll come out.

but then again, you really are supposed to pull the hair closer to the scalp...it hurts some girls if just you pull the ends

I had anorexia, so I have hair extensions in now. You cannot tell they are extensions. At all. There are absolutely no bumps, as I have the latest, best versions of them.

My natural hair is quiet long, albiet is only about 1/3 as thick as it naturall is, had I NOT had an illness.

I only intend to use them until my hair is as thick as it's old, natural state.

I do not think it was vain of me to not want to have hair that was as fine as a 2 year old infants; it would have taken 3 ears or more to grow back fully, according to all the hair dressers.

I do not have the refined nose/features to look attractive with short or very fine hair. So I got extentions.

Immediately, after the extensions - very good looking guys hit on me again, rather than the zero attention or looks I got with no hair, and baby fine hair that looked like that of a recovering cancer victim.

Hair extensions changed my life! I did ot have the confidece to face the world with little to nor hair; having my OLD hair back again, rather than having to wait over 3 years for it all to grow back, INSTANTLY made me feel SO, SO much happier.

False. A truly ugly women cannot really hide it all and suddenly become drool worthy, not even with all the fake tans and hair extentions in the world.

On the other hand, cute or average women can look like knockouts, if they are, for instance; very attractive but have very fine hair. Or a beautiful face, with crooked teeth.

A badly done tan, looks cheap and unnattractive, as does over the top fakeness.

Make up that enhances your natural look is what guy sdrool over - they love girls with a natural looking tan, not an ove the top fake on, on an otherwise naturally white girl.

I use a moisterizer that gives me a slight glow; a tan, that is not over the top. Instead of being sheet white, I have a healthy, natural glow.

I have never had hair extension's but I think it looks good. I have had short hair three times in my life and hated it. I wish I would have had extensions then. I do get lots of compliments on my hair it is long. Some girls look good with short hair. I think guys really do not care if they find a woman attractive. Hair is something that can be changed.

By itself alone it isn't, but in a cluster of other signs it could be.

With stuff like this you need to just open your eyes a bit, and see if you see other stuff.

Just like those women who arrange themselves in every reflection, pick imaginary things off their dresses and go to the ladies room often.

Also, Amber Rose does look good.

But her make-up sometimes repells me.

She wears a lot of bright red or red-related [pink] lipstick.

You need to be weary of women that wear that kind of lipstick constantly.

Other than that, the bald look would look good on her.

I said would because i think she is of African descent and her hair is blonde ... that very very short hair.

Lots of maintenance there.

Considering the two, i suspect she has that look mostly as a 'LOOK AT ME' and not because she is brave.

You're a strange guy, how old are you if you don't mind me asking?

Be wary of woman who wear red and pink lipstick everday---???? What the...?*Lolllllllllll.

She's brave ok... Any girl who has the balls to shave their head is brave... Hair means everything to a girl, ESP long hair. She better wear bright lipstick with lips like that, so full and pretty.

Hair extensions strike me the same way shoulder pads did, back when that was a big female fashion: odd, and of questionable taste, but no big deal in the grand scheme of things.

I honestly think when a guy really likes you and the chemistry is there...it's not going to matter if you're wearing hair extentions, have short hair...or even fake boobs. My older brother liked large breasted women...and my little brother loves small breasted women. My older married a small breasted woman, and the younger ended up with a HUGE breasted women.

LOVE IS LOVE.

Never believe when a man says he prefers natural. Hair extensions work, so do makeup and push up bras! Men prefer women fake and 90+ percent of them goes for what media defines as attractive.

I have to disagree, I prefer my women natural. My GF never wears make-up, nor did she when I met her at a party, full of women in excessive make-up. Natural beauty, trumps artificial beauty every time. Only one wakes up in the morning, looking the same as they did when they went to bed.
