PLEASE don't get a dog (or any animal) to attract the opposite sex.

Only get one if you are prepared to really care for it.

It is the saddest thing ever to witness an animal that is neglected or abandoned when their 'usefulness' to it's owner is outlived.

(Sorry Fitchick. I know this was designed to be lighthearted... but all of my animals have been rescues...)

Yep your dog can tell about your social status (When I had this good looking basset hound, some people were asking 'isn't it expensive?') and your personality.

I like basset hound all the way and it happens to attract a lot of females like a magnet. so it's a win-win :)

this was funny :-) i don't care what kind of dog a guy has but it's great when he does. i have 2 myself and pets do say a lot about character. it shows a caring/sensitive side, and you know he's able to commit, keep to a schedule, shop for items in a store, and take care of something other than his own needs - all important qualities. i do have a fondness for men who have toy breed dogs - it's great when a 'manly' guy can be ok with a small pet. also, i read somewhere that people tend to adopt opposite sex dogs if they are single, so 9 times out of 10 that cute single guy is probably walking a female dog :-)

If I wanted to downgrade myself, guess those ladies opinions might mean something. I tell you what, let them go do some animal rescue, and MAYBE I'd look at them a little more "warmly". I rescue dogs. I take the ones that are dangerous, aggressive, abused, malnourished and sick, and elderly, because these are the hardest ones to save. My current two, one was on the last day of death row because of aggression issues so I took her home, and my other is here because he is 11 years old and his owner passed away. The aggressive one is 100lbs and might even snip at those ladies in the park, fine by me, I didn't take this one home to help get a date.

Gerard Butler has a pug and according to this video you know what that means...

I thought the three women were hilarious.

My computer is messing up, so I can't watch the video (yet). What does liking a pug, say about someone? My sister's fiance likes them.

I love Springer Spaniels, Cocker Spaniels, etc. I've also loved our other dogs that we've had over the years.

I found their comments about the husky to be pretty funny. That's one small husky even for a husky and so not a big dog. It's medium-sized.

If you're going big, do it right. Sheps, labs, dobies, rotties and many more. These are big dogs.

Haha, I've joked many times to my friends about getting a dog and how useful it is to break the ice and meet women. Although it might be true, I really don't have the time to take care of one. It's definitely a prerequisite to having a baby, that's for sure. I know people who own dogs and at one point or another complain about it....kind of a love/hate relationship.

Those aren't big dogs. Irish Wolfhounds and English Mastiffs are big. That's doing it right.

If you really want to attract women, borrow a baby.

I can't wait until a woman tells me you can judge a man buy the way he treats his dog because I'm gonna tell her "Hitler had a dog and he loved it"

They are fun though.

When you have your second baby, can I borrow him to go pick up women? He could be my little wingman.

I'm actually less likely to be attracted to someone if they own a dog. It's not a dealbreaker, but I mostly find dogs to be annoying.

Cats, however, are great. :p

Irish Wolfhounds are amazing dogs. Haven't had any interactions with English Mastiffs so I can't say. Fierce looking though.

You stay away from my children! Wingman one minute, AMOG them the next.

Since this thread is about dogs I wanna say my #1 pet peave is bringing animals into stores. I hate it it's rude and they don't even ask. At least ask, don't just coast in with the fkn thing like it's no big deal who the hell are you? We got that a lot at an auto service chain I worked at. This obviously doesn't apply to stores that are pet friendly (most aren't).

What?! I'm only into women, you nut. And if I was into men, I wouldn't go for infants! No matter how good their genes.

I like dogs just fine on TV or computer. That's as far as it will ever go.

Anyone want to take a run at how pedophilia, gayness, PUA, dogs, attraction and dating, mesh together? :lmao:

As tempting as that sounds, I just want a baby to take on walks so I can attract (adult) women.
