I know plenty of dudes... but non of them is a real jerk, arrogant , disrespects females all the time...... unless one and he does really badly with women. Good looking guys tend more often to be "jerks" whatever you wanna call it. There is a nigh and dark how the women view me when i am in my (Fun mode or douchebag mode). In fun mode they enjoy my company in the later one they don´t..... they want to disappear. I am just taking about the attitude the guys have. Men do not Love bitches just good looking women are more often bitches. What´s your take on this.... am i Mental Masturbating?

This is not rocket science. People actually want to be treated well, not badly. The only reason some people put up with bad behavior is because the person is better looking than them and they value looks over character/personality, or because the person has low self esteem and doesn't think he deserves to be treated better. 2

I'm a jerk sometimes myself with some crazy confidence but since I'm one of the better dressers (suits, blazers, tattoos, muscular) women still check me out any way, where I'm able to nail them easily but can't keep them around much longer after that.

It makes the assumption that sexy and reliable are mutually exclusive.

Not to mention that the article was written by the dubious author known as "LiveScience Staff," the whole thing hinges on the phrase "research suggests," and, last but not least, the "studies" are concerned with women who are at the hormonal peak of ovulation. I'd also love to see the pictures of "sexy" vs. "reliable." Try to keep up! That's a funny thing to say.

Plus, science backs up what everyone always sees every day. So the only evidence against women liking jerks is women claiming to not like jerks. When reality starts to match what women say, I will start believing their claim to like "nice guys". Don't say it, show it. Yeah, because when you walk outside you can just TELL who is a jerk and who isn't. Well, I guess by "science" you should just become a total asshat. I can't wait to see how that works out for you in the long run.

Additionally is easy as hell to publish complete and utter garbage these days. Until a publication has been vetted my other researchers, and correlated with other studies, it's no more scientific than the crap you find in the checkout line at the grocery store. 1

Trying to scientifically prove one or the other is an exercise in futility because there will always be a vast number of exceptions that prevent it from being a rule. I know a lot of cool, nice dudes who swim in women, and I know quite a few jerks who do alright too - and a whole host of guys in between. Any scientific claim that says women are attracted to either jerk or nice guy is bogus IMO. Variety trumps. 4

The only claim made is that women in general are attracted to jerks. This goes back to my theory that people mistakenly believe that men who attract women are generally jerks . Whatever the scientific claim is, I declare dumbsh*t on it. It turns attraction into a logical progression and it's far too complex to simply be "women in general are attracted to jerks". -cue short, obligatory rant, followed by "Sorry" and "You lose". 1
