SadPanda22 Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 Music can be very powerful and moving, especially when you are heartbroken. Here is a list of songs that I would like to dedicate to my ex depending on how I am feeling at the moment. My feelings fluctuate dramatically, lol. What songs would you guys like to dedicate to your ex? Or what songs would you like to have them dedicate to you? When I am angry Puke - Eminem I F***ing Hate You - Godsmack Set Fire to the Rain - Adele Forgotten - Avril Lavigne My Happy Ending - Avril Lavigne When I am triumphant Part of Me - Katy Perry Wide Awake - Katy Perry When I am sad (which is most of the time, unfortunately) Take it All - Adele Don't You Remember - Adele Thinking of You - Katy Perry The One That Got Away - Katy Perry When You're Gone - Avril Lavigne Wish You Were Here - Avril Lavigne What I'd love for my ex to dedicate to me The Reason - Hoobastank
N64 Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 I just picked this one, because I feel like it really captures that confusion of a breakup that wasn't necessarily bad or explosive. It just happened one day and he was blindsided by it. He sings about how he was convinced he wouldn't get his heartbroken by this girl and that he thought he could do no wrong by her. He even gets down to where they once discussed moving away together and having kids, and then finally starts getting that eery feeling something is wrong only to turn out he's right. And all he wants to know is why she suddenly copped out of their good relationship, which seems to have happened to a lot of people including myself with hardly any explanation. Sounds like the dreadful 'grass is greener'-type situation to me. It reflects a lot of how I feel more than any current song. Without being too overboard or sappy. There's exhaustion to it. He's worn out with wondering why, but he can't stop. And that's how I feel. Siiiiiiigh. 2

Gulf-Delta Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 OMG, so many.... As a musician, I have started singing because of this breakup. Whether or not it will ever leave my own collection of music IDK, but here's some song's I'd like to dedicate to my ex that I've covered The Dance by Prince I Try by Macy Gray Case Of You by Joni Mitchell Nothing Compares To You by Prince The Only Exception by Paramore Comeback by Prince Angie by The Rolling Stones Possession by Sarah McLaughlin Everything Reminds Me Of You by Emmy the Great Also a great deal of my own songs are dedicated to my ex.
chrisusarmy2005 Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 Stuck Like Glue- Sugarland; because that was our song and I thought thats the way we were going to be. Gimme That Girl-Joe Nichols; Because thats the type of girl I want True Colors-Phil Collins; Because apparently 4 yrs dosn't mean anything Just To See You Smile-Tim McGraw; Because I would do anything to make her smile even if it means leave. Forever- Kiss; Because that was how it was supposed to be. Even though we've broken up and she's screwing other guys dosn't mean I still don't love her. Hopefully I get her back, let her do her thing and who knows she comes back to me,she does, if she dosn't its her loss. Shes the one who messed up. Im a great guy and proud of who I am and when I have a girlfriend I do anything to keep her happy, its just the way I am. Some day she will realize what she lost and I hope this guy puts her through as much hurt as she has put me through. 2
