Occu3.14'd Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 When is this going to get better? Nothing makes me even remotely happy. I have a motorcycle which always brought a smile to my face. Now, when I go for a ride, it gives me time to think about her over and over. And then I think about the times when she was on the back, holding on to me, and then I feel worse. The one thing that's supposed to fix anything for a guy is a ride on the bike, and not even that helps. I have a beautiful pool out back. It's been 90 plus degrees out for two months. Yet something that's supposed to be enjoyable like lounging around in the pool does nothing for me. I've been in it once in the past month. And when I go out to clean it, all I do is stare at the patio chair where she'd lay out in her bikini (what a sight for sore eyes). I'd float around in the pool while we talked and laughed about everything. Now that's gone. Each day goes by now with nothing to look forward to. I'm literally passing the time, but for what? There's nothing there at the end. I feel like I'm just spinning my tires. I thought about it, and I honestly can't remember the last time I laughed or even smiled.

Well that open road gives you an awful lot of time to think about things. I guess it's good that you can't tell if the tears are from her or the wind in your eyes.
Crila16 Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 You will smile and be happy again, once you get sick and tired of hearing yourself think about it over and over and over again. Time is the only thing that will heal this wound...and then when the summer is over and you're finally done with this chick and lose all feelings for her...you're going to kick yourself for wasting your summer. Wait until you meet that even cooler girl down the road. The hotter, sweeter girl that you are far more compatable with. The girl that you didn't know even existed, because you were too busy mourning over this other loser. Once you meet this awesome new girl...take her for a ride on your motorcycle. I promise you'll be smiling again when that day comes. 1

Chi townD Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 You need to break out of the norm. Do something different and not something that you and her used to do. Trust me, it helps. Take a trip somewhere. Get out of your comfort zone. Get out of familar surroundings.
