Hawk12 Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Having a tough day today feeling angry and sad all in one. Been nc for over almost three weeks now been working lots and hitting the gym but today I can't stop thinking about me and her and what she's been up too.

Xestenz Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 It is coming up on eight weeks for me of not texting or hearing her voice. It has gotten much, much easier lately. Less anxiety, the swirling brain has calmed, I don't worry about what she is doing or thinking as much, I no longer replay the events over and over, etc. I've also been out on some dates with some very cool, interesting women. Fun! Take it from me, although I'm nowhere near completely 'there' yet -- you will have some days that are tougher than others but it does get better! Hang in there. 1
flitzanu Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 i might add, if it makes you feel better (or worse) it's been nearly 2 years since i've spoken to my ex, and every once in a while that thought creeps up. it's not as powerful, but still like "damn". i just hate losing the entire friendship, even many years later. it's similar (but less grievous) to dealing with death.
