MercuryMorrison1 Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 So long story short...I've been friends with this girl since the 6th grade. I'm now 24 and she's 23. We have alot of history together, I've always kind of had a crush on her as she's very pretty and also a very sweet understanding person. We both have been threw some bad relationships that has somewhat sobered us on who we choose to date these days. Anyway, to the point...Yesterday afternoon she calls me up and asks me to go with her to see one of our friends whome just had a child. She felt a little uncomfortable going to see this other girl alone as the two of them had a heavy disagreement about a year ago, and haven't spoken much in the following time. None the less I obliged and was happy to go with her. We stayed at that girls apartment for about an hour and a half before we decided to leave. As we were pulling out of the parking lot she asked me if I would like to go get an ice cream or something together, so we went and got some Ice cream and parked up so we could eat and talk. While conversing with each other she asked me if I had any luck with this girl that I've been talking to and I then she preceeded to explain to me that she loves the guy she's with, but she doesn't know if she can stay with him much longer as they have differing views on things. I could tell at this point that she was on the verge of tears, so I put my hand on her shoulder for comfort. After a second she scooted closer to me and leaned her head onto my chest and kind of sobbed for a minute. To try and cheer her up I started talking about the music playing on the radio ''which Ironically was the Oasis song Stop Crying Your Heart Out'' and she then told me that she finds that really attractive when guys have the same taste in music as her, which her and I have almost identical taste in music. Anyway, I managed to make her laugh pretty soon thereafter and in the heat of the moment I told her that I would like to take her out on a date in the event that things don't work out with her current guy. She told me that she would very much enjoy that, but she was afraid of us not being friends anymore if the relationship were to fall threw and asked me if I really beleived that we could maintain friendship if the relationship didn't work. I honestly belelive we could pull it off, but if her and I are to ever start a relationship it will be the first I've ever had with such a close friend. I love her and would do anything for her...No question in my mind about that...But my question here is, is she actually intrested in me? Or could she perhaps have just been caught up in the moment? When she agreed to possibly going on a date, I was utterlly shocked that such an impulsive question actually turned out in my favor. Anyone have an opinion on this?
pteromom Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Well, you know her better than we do. Is she prone to saying things impulsively that she doesn't mean, or not? She said yes, so go make plans and take her out and see what happens. Sounds to me like she's interested.

I don't think she acts on impulse now...Maybe when she was younger, but we both did ''as most kids do''.
