Jamesblame Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 It really depends on what the point of NC is. If you're doing it to move on, then wait until: 1. You can accept the relationship is over 2. You aren't hurt by the fact that they don't love you 3. You don't wake up sad. 4. You can talk about the relationship without falling apart. 5. You are ok with the idea of them sleeping and dating somebody. If you're attempting to reconcile and NC is in hopes of stirring his interest... then be careful. Because your relationship is dead. But if you want to try the trick (which rarely works) wait 2 months and then send him a friendly text. Get healthy, be you, and if it's meant to be, it's meant to be.

But how long did you guys wait? and what was the result? First off, you have to be clear on the reason(s) as to WHY you want to talk to him? Is the relationship on a break? Why did you guys decide to split? Those are two pretty important questions you have to ask yourself before you even consider opening up the lines of communication with him. so whats the story?
