Ani9000 Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 So my ex and I broke up a month ago today and I have trying to get him to move his stuff out of the apartment. He broke up with me and said he would move out. Then, he never contacted me about his stuff and he never got his stuff. So today, finally after a month of waiting, he texted me saying him and his friend were coming over to get his stuff. I am at work so I don't have to see him get his stuff. But since he texted me I cannot stop shaking. Why does he still affect me so bad?
weallfalldown Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 it's natural....stay strong lady............
Balzac Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 It's anxiety=fight or flight. Ride it out and be glad you dodged a bullet.
Author Ani9000 Posted August 7, 2012 Author Posted August 7, 2012 Any methods to stop the shaking? I feel like an idiot asking but its embarrassing to shake like this from a stupid text. This is why i like NC lol
Mike_d Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 y, anxiety. it's ok. natural response. happens to me too, a lot. just ride it out, it *will* go away. just do the best you can in the meanwhile, keep posting here, it will help
Ruby65 Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 I know you're at work, but if you can get away to take a walk, that would probably be the best thing you could do. Cammomile tea is very calming as well. You can pick up the herbal remedy Valerian Root in capsule form at any drug store on your way home. It's very safe and non-habit forming and is used for anxiety and to help you sleep. Also, if you have any privacy, try and close your eyes and meditate for 5-10 minutes -- that really helps, too, even if you don't know what you're doing! It'll relax you. Keep posting -- we're all here with you. You're doing GREAT!

2muchlove Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Thanks guys! I know I should be better than this and more mature, I am twenty years old for heavens sake I should be able to handle this, but I am working on it. I'm 25 year old male. Still emotional a month later. As you'll see with a lot of strange conflicts on here age has nothing when you get down to the core of a break up. It's raw, unfiltered emotion. And it's absolutely beautiful.
