I know there's something wrong about it, but I can't put my finger on what the term is.

Someone I know has this habit that I really dislike. If someone says or does something that annoys her, she'll look around the room at people and exchange a look with that person(s). I can understand doing that if someone said something really rude or just plain strange. In that case, it's normal to exchange looks. But most of the time, the other person hasn't even said anything rude or done anything wrong.

This person gets along extremely well with the two people who gossip and act immature all the time. She's well liked and gets along with most people, although I'm beginning to dislike her intensely because of this habit of hers (amongst other habits).

What do you call this?

pretentious - it's a humiliation tactic, to look down upon, or to think lower of a person

Thank you. That's what it is. Maybe not pretention exactly, but the looking down part is true. It's some sort of superiority complex, or arrogance. It fits in with other stuff she does.
