I have been separated/soon to be divorced for eight months. I really want to ask my ex if she is seeing someone.

If you are not over her and still love her DO not ask her. Because if she says yes it will feel like u are breaking up all over again, believe me it felt worse than the actual break up for me. But if you are over her and are curious then why not.

And the point of this would be what? To inflict further pain on yourself? It's really not your business if she's seeing someone else if the divorce is pending.
