dannykeyz831 Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 I know people always say to keep busy, go out with friends, create a hobby, etc. but nothing calms me more than smoking a cigarette. I've never been a smoker and I think I'm starting to get addicted. Its only been 1 cigarette a day but I'm afraid It's going to be where I have to smoke several a day just to keep those feeling away. I just smoked one right now and I feel pretty good but at the same time guilty. I only do it at night because that's the only time of the day where I'm really feeling the loss of my ex. Not sure what I should do.
big bear Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 I used to smoke pretty moderately before. After the break up it went to just a tad more than a pack a day. Reduced now back to max of 10 a day. I am not justifying smoking. Start a fitness program, gymming, swimming or dancing. Of course it will demand more discipline than you can imagine at this stage. BU knocks the wind out of you. But this will really take away the urge for smoking. Been there done that:)

I guess this is just a temporary thing..I mean its only been like 2 weeks since nc. Exercise has always helped me but she used to be my fitness partner... guess I'll just have to fight through the pain. Man nothing really comes easy after a break up... Thanks for the advice!
