Vato Loco Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 I am really confused. I am not shy, Im the total opposite. I know how to talk to girls, it's just that I don't know how to approach them correctly and don't know what to say when the awkward silence takes over for a second. I think either I crack too many jokes, come on too strong, or maybe I just suck at one on one conversations.
SweetVixen07 Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 THAT'S NOT TRUE...Nobody sucks at having a one on one conversation. Unless you live in complete isolation. The problem I have noticed with people and myself is that we think too much of what we are going to say. Whenever I over think what is being said, I end up stumbling all through the chit-chat session. Later on I wanna pound myself in the head for saying such idiotic things. Anyway, having awkward silence is a given in any situation b/c you really don't know the person well. Basically what I am trying to say is that you just have to find some common ground and just let it flow. Confidence will also help too! Hope I could help!
RagingBull Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 Don't worry too much about the silence. Silence is natural. Try to relax during the silence. You have to give the other person room.
