It seems no matter how pretty a women is or how much external validation she may get most women i know call themselves ugly or unattractive ladies be honest here how much of that is that women for whatever reason have built im low self esteem and how much of that is really just fishing for compliments?

Id imagine most at least decent looking women who get compliments and attracted men know there attractive you would think so part of me thinks its just fishing for compliments or are most women really that insecure?

Couldn't POSSIBLY be that our society has unrealistic standards of beauty that only about 1% of the population can achieve... Or that women are judged first and foremost on their looks to determine their value as a person, and so derive their sense of esteem from how others judge them... Or that men constantly place emphasis on looks and then demand to know why women are so insecure...

Nope, it must be A) women suck or B) women suck.

Both. We're innately insecure creatures who are fishing for compliments.

You understand us all so very well!

Im talking about women who do well with men an are complimented a lot,i can see why a women who gets little attention from Men would be insecure

Women also place a demand on looks on men of course unless a man is wealthy which in this economy is not really all that easy to pull off

Because I am genuinely curious as to why you guys feel you have to ask the same questions over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

Neither.

Most people have a self esteem that is dynamic rather than static. So ... some days it will be high, some days low. But women always have their idea of where their base attractiveness lies.

So, while a woman may say to me, "No boys like me. I'm not that pretty.", it means she may feel a little ugly that day, but NOT UGLY ENOUGH TO DATE YOU! :lmao:

In that case no more topics should ever be made since everything has been talked about at least once

WHy cant people ignore topics they dont care for or that have been talked about instead of throwing hissyfits about it?

Seems like wasted energy to me

I don't know what you are talking about... I think I am hot!

Maybe it is because if we own up to it we are automatically considered vain, narcissistic, or stuck up.

Why do people ask a question when they know an easily find-able answer already exists?

That to seems like a waste of energy.

Both. Now please tell me I'm pretty before I lose my mind, slash your car tires, and set fire to your bed.

Because we are taught that modesty is a virtue and to act as though you're hot **** is not a good look.

Until all the women of the world give in and start admitting that we are awful, manipulative creatures that run the world through the power of sex, get back to the kitchen/bedroom where we belong, and date whoever shows interest in us regardless of our own opinions.

Really, is that so much to ask?

Nope there are plenty of fresh, new topics to discuss when various posters bring in their personal problems/challenges/victories or have the insight and intelligence to add something new - as opposed to post something negative about the opposite gender yet again. The millionth time.

As LR suggested, you could just learn to use 'search'

You must have a rather boring life if you think everything has been discussed that there is in the whole wide dating world. Why bother even then? If you think everything has been discussed, why not just read a book?

If LS operated by this logic, then 90% of the posts here would be no more.

-Men's height

-No men in my area to date

-FWB

-Friendzone

I'm pretty sure all those topics have been covered at least 200 times. People ask the questions because they know the same idiots will respond with the same answers.

*sheepishly raises hand* :o

No more LS for the day...

Yeah I'm going home too

Only the gender bashing threads that annoy me though. It's normal that people should have different takes on the same topic otherwise

Heres a thread you made then a thread that that was already made on the same subject

Why not just use the search button first?

As Emilia alluded to earlier, I was looking to address & get opinions on a very specific scenario from my life, not bash the opposite gender...

It's the gender bashing tone of these threads that is annoying. I dislike is as much as when it is men being bashed.
