I have a married female friend, she tried to "introduce me" to one of her female friends she thought that would have a lot in common with me, but turns out...as she is putting it "dating a douche'"....I asked about her other single friends, because I had seen plenty of htem on her FB pics.

And she said, "They wouldn't be your type, they're all looking for men with DEEP pockets".

So at least she's a good judge on who is a match. LOL

Well that's why you pretend to have money for the purposes of getting in the door so to speak. Then when they realize you're not rich it won't matter. They'll either leave you (after dating you for a while) or they'll be so much in love with you that it wont' matter.

Pretend that you've got loads of cash and use them for sex.

Yeah, there are quite a few of those around my area. There's a bar that's known as the gold digger bar. Women there have their bitch shield up unless you look expensive.

My female friend who's not a gold digger liked to go there when she was single. She got a lot of male attention simply because she's not a bitch.

Give a pair of pants to one of her friends and ask them to sew deeper pockets in them for you.

I'm not sure the intent of this thread though it is amusing the amount of guys telling the OP to pretend to have deep pockets and use them for sex or wait till they love him until it when it's reveal it doesn't matter.

Bit curious if they would agree to a woman pretending to like a guy to use him for money or for a woman to use pictures she thinks guys would like and wait till he's emotionally attached before a face-to-face meeting.

Are you worried that someone will hurt you by pretending to be rich?

How did you get that it's a possibility I'm worried about someone hurting me by pretending to be rich rather than I'm curious if the guys stating pretend to be rich would agree with a woman pretending to be something as in the examples I used?

If by "the amount of guys" you mean "one person" (namely me) then you are correct.

I figure a guy like the OP, he gets emotionally attached to a girl but she'll only date him if he has money. I think the only one who arguably gets cheated is the OP since he'd get a girl who really didn't like him for him. And considering his unique circumstances, I'd say pretty much anything is fair game. Same thing if we were talking about a woman. There are plenty of female posters on LS that I'd totally give a free pass to. So stop looking for a gender war where there isn't one. :)

Well, I reread your post. I don't know why I came up with that question. Your syntax is unique. I'll read more carefully next time.

But this leads to an interesting thought experiment. If a guy pretended to be rich in order to have sex with a woman that wanted to trick a man with sex to get his money, do they deserve each other?

Try untangling that.

Why does this have to be about sex? Why not just: guy pretends to be rich so girl will fall in love with him and then they can live happily ever after?

Isn't that the plot of Aladdin? That turned out ok in the end didn't it?

By "the amount of guys" I meant 3 guys who were the first responses to the thread.

In my opinion the gal gets cheated as she gets a guy she doesn't truly like who set out to knowingly deceive her. I don't think the OP is the one getting cheated since the gal doesn't really like him for him as he's the one who set up the situation to be so as he knowingly deceived her and withheld information from her that would likely change her feelings about him.

I'm not looking for a gender war I'm curious about possible hypocrisy from the guys who posted pretend to be rich. Though it's telling how to you it's looking for a gender war.

There's nothing for me to untangle as I don't do the 'you deserve this person' bit.

I think most posts in this tread were meant to be silly. Mine were. Oh well.

Whatever. I'm sure you're a lovely human being. :cool::):cool:

Doesn't matter if we agree, it's reality. There's nothing wrong with men like the OP pretending to be rich, women use deception all day every day.

I'm using it right now! Me and deception, perfect together.... (anyone from NJ will understand.)

hahaha we have one of those places also.

My buddy & I can hop in his restored classic car & roll up in our finest thrift store Labels & talk about my bungalow in St. Thomas. ;)

I am so betting I could bag a woman for the night if she thinks i'd take her down there.

I'll need to download some pics on my cell phone & shop myself in. (it's a 2 1/2" screen, she won't notice after a few drinks) LOL!
