So i'm 35 and recently developed some serious acne on my neck and chin line. I've never had acne problems in my life, so this is quite devastating to me. I'm single, attractive and have been actively dating since ending my 9 year (acne free) relationship. My question is this. How does having acne affect how you view your date? I'm noticing shame and embarrassment about my appearance and i'm mortified if my date wants to make out and kiss my neck. While my acne could be far worse, it's still pretty humiliating and embarrassing. So do tell...if you began dating an attractive woman with moderate to severe acne on her neck, how would that affect you? Thanks.

Art_Critic Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 How long has it been since you have been to the dentist.. and infected tooth can cause acne like you mentioned... the tooth may not even hurt tons yet but the infection can still be there at the root causing the acne..
spiderowl Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 There are some medical conditions that can cause acne. It does also seem to happen in some people without any diagnosable medical condition. It might be worth getting your doc to do some blood tests though to check you haven't got polycystic ovaries or something. Docs can also help with some useful treatments. I've always had that problem and recently, as I'm middle-aged, I've used Menopace vitamin tablets for hot flushes. I've found these keep acne at bay too and my skin has never been better. If I stop taking them, it comes back. I don't know why it works but it does. Perhaps they might help you? I would check if it's safe for you to take them if you are not menopausal. They have made a big difference to me. Some guys won't care about acne and others will. Some guys can't tell if a woman is wearing make-up or not, even if it's obvious to other women. Don't be so sure they'd notice spots either!
