sid3 Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Forget for a minute that her hair looks like it hasn't been updated since the 70's and her gin blossom nose shows years of hard drinking. Personally, I have never met anyone who has dated a "biker" chick. I'm curious after showing my girlfriend a picture of said biker chick and she replied "gross". Picture available by request.
ThaWholigan Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 I smell a cheap shot here ..... I did want to date a girl who rode a motorcycle - she was all-round cute. So yes.
Snakechammah Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Have you seen the tv series Dark Angel - where Jessica Alba rides a motorbike? She looks gorgeous and there is nothing gross about her at all. Picture here That tv series inspires me to be a biker! (but currently I'm not and I don't have a licence - in the works though!)

Well sorry to disappoint but its a true story and legitimate question. Still think you spend way too much time on LS. But to each their own I guess.

Ninjainpajamas Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 I guess it's a bit biased If you ride yourself, but I don't see why this would be a deal-breaker. Maybe someone wouldn't want to date me because I ride because it increases my chances of death/injury, especially In Los Angeles. That's understandable, you don't have to date me and she might in your case feel the same way. But It beats the hell out of sitting in LA traffic I'll tell you that much for sure! It wouldn't make me feel either way though, positive or negative even If I didn't. Although from your first description that's harder to forget than her being a "biker chick"...although I'm not big on the chopper riding Harley Davidson outfit/bandana/sunglasses/chain necklace/leather vest and gloves with exposed fingers/brain bucket helmet/leather chaps and boots...look, so yeah I can't say I've seen many appealing women personally in that attire, not quite typically my taste.
carhill Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Affirmative, but I'm more into racers than 'bikers'. Leslie, the lady second from left, is the current female motorcycle land speed record holder. 2
yongyong Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 I love chicks who rides Ducati. Tight leather jacket, long hair sticking out of a helmet hm..........
Mycteria Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 I ride a sportbike, and I know it doesn't turn guys off. But I'm by no means a "biker chick." If you saw me on the street you wouldn't be able to tell.

ascendotum Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Harley bitches rule. No disrespect just a term of endearment. If someone was looking at setting me up for a blind date with a woman, and I was told she rides a moped or a cafe racer, then I'd be fine with it. If they said she rides a harley, they would have to really assure me she was attractive, because I would think of along the lines of a dyke on bike type woman. No offence, but the couple of women I knew who rode them where solid build take no nonsense tough women.
RedRobin Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 (edited) I smell a cheap shot here ..... I did want to date a girl who rode a motorcycle - she was all-round cute. So yes. Or a really lame attempt to get LS women to post pics of themselves for everyone to ogle/comment on... I'm betting the pics he's talking about aren't even real... His current girlfriend will have a special treat waiting for her when she decides to stop seeing him, I guess. Some people just can't handle rejection/disinterest well... hence the need for screening.... Edited July 28, 2012 by RedRobin

Has it been of detriment/benefit one way or the other when it comes to dating men? Does it tend to attract to you a certain type of man? (is it the bike, your sense of individual style or you all in black leather)

If you saw me on the street you wouldn't be able to tell. What bike do you ride? The one on the screensaver? I've been checking out sportbikes recently, but alot of them are too tall for me. I'm only 5'6" and kinda short legs (30"). Although, I test drove a Ducati Diavel recently... the 'inseam' comes in different heights. Gorgeous bikes, but a friend tells me their maintenance record is really iffy...

(is it the bike, your sense of individual style or you all in black leather) About it being a detriment... I don't really know (yet). I've had my own bike for only about a year... I tend to pick up hobbies that appeal to me and not worry much about what others think about it... where I work, there are all kinds of people who ride all kinds of bikes... I've observed this when I'm out and about too. I'll admit though... based on a couple of bike shows I've been to, the different bike styles do tend to attract different crowds... There are definately plenty of valid stereotypes to go around... both with the racing/sportbike and harley type riders. Both can and do attract a hard-partying element which I avoid and try to screen carefully against. So, yea. I imagine that if a guy assumed I was in that 'lifestyle' without getting to know me, it would hurt my chances. I'm guessing that fades pretty quick when they see me pull my laptop out of my bag. As to what I wear... black Joe Rocket women's jacket and jeans. The Joe Rocket jackets cinch in so you actually look like a girl ... plus I imagine it would breath better than leather. Full face helmets are best... but the shorter ones really are nice on a super hot day.
Radu Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 It would not bother me, but i would be a little carefull she was not a nut for speed, over here bikers are quite reckless. Isn't on hogs the place in the back called the 'bitch seat' ? I would find it quite funny to ride that.
DuchessKaye Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 I think I really look cute riding my Triumph coz I’m never dateless
jobaba Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 I used to ride so obviously I'd be fine with it. Personality wise, I'd likely prefer gals who rode racing bikes over Harleys, but I wouldn't be so surficial as to make that a dealbreaker. Motorcycle gals are usually tall though. It helps to be at least 5'8" to ride a motorcycle. I'm under that and I struggled to back it up sometimes.
jobaba Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Affirmative, but I'm more into racers than 'bikers'. Leslie, the lady second from left, is the current female motorcycle land speed record holder. Me too. FZRs, Suzukis and Ninjas. I used to have arguments with a co-worker who used to ride Harleys. He'd say sportbike riders gave cruiser riders a bad name. Haha.

Gorgeous bikes, but a friend tells me their maintenance record is really iffy... The one on the screensaver? I'm not sure what you mean. I ride a little Ninja 250 for now. When I can afford to have two bikes, I'm going to get a supersport of some kind (a 636 or a CBR 600) or maybe an FZ6. But I love the gas mileage on my Ninja so until I can afford two bikes, I'm sticking with it. It's my third bike and I love it. I'm only 5'3" and weigh about 90 pounds and I can ride it just fine. Any other bike and I would have to lower it. Even the new Honda CBR 250 is too wide for me, so I can't hold it up without lowering it. Which is fine, because I think they are ugly anyway. haha. As far as riding hurting my chances of dating, I don't think it has. Most guys think it's pretty cool. Maybe some are intimidated. I tend to not fit in too well with most biker crowds, though. I ride my bike because it's fun and uses less gas, not because I want to pop wheelies through traffic or blast pipes so loud that the people around me go deaf. The only thing that might be a problem when it comes to dating is that I have accumulated quite a few nasty scars, and sometimes I walk with a limp. But oh well, life is short. lol

I don't understand why they design sport motorcycles for a person who is like 5'10" to 6'0" when all the engineers who make these bikes are probably little Asian guys. Lowering a bike is fine. If you were going to do competitive racing, it would screw with the center of gravity of the bike, but in a practical sense, you should have no problem.
