Is it considered creepy to use your job position to ask women out?

Kind of a vague topic, hard to describe in just one sentence. However, here's my basic situation.

I work as a cashier at Tim Hortons in my city's mall, and I naturally have a very large amount of regular customers, specifically various mall staff who want their coffee and such. It's undeniable that I'm well liked among virtually every regular customer, I'm friendly, fast, accurate, and I often make an effort to personalize my interactions with many of them.

The past while I've been making even more of an effort to personalize things with some, making a point to know more about who everybody is. Like when I ask my usual question of how their day is, I might follow up with light inquiries about their specific responses. There are some cute girls who I've been getting exceptionally personal with, as in I drop my professional context, we're speaking to each other as people, not as customer and server. There are a few of them I've developed a bit of a romantic interest in, and I'm quite interested in perhaps asking at least one of them to coffee(not at my Tim Hortons, probably Starbucks or a local shop).

Just the thing is, I'm starting to worry that I'm using my professional standing to get closer to women, which I am, but that it could creep some of them out. There's one girl in particular I'd love to just bump into outside of work, chat it up with, and casually ask her for coffee at the end, but the odds of that are slim. I'm only ever going to see her at my place, or if I go to hers.

I'd love to just ask her out when I see her at my place, and if she says no, I'd love for her to keep showing up so I can at least prove I'm not a creeper and would just leave it be after that. Somehow, I would think it would be the opposite, that I would make her uncomfortable and she would just have her co-workers pick up her coffee from then on.

Still, I guess it's a good sign she's still coming, I think she should be highly suspicious by now, after a comment I made a couple weeks ago. She died her hair blonde, I really like it, and I told her that, "By the way, I'm not sure if I mentioned it or not, but I really like your new hair." What kind of guy says that to a girl he's not infatuated with?

Not creepy at all man I've asked out 8 girls at my job in a little less than a year and a half. I'm 5-8 getting numbers! the first one I got a date, one I never called, one I deal broke over conflicting relgions so I stopped calling, one was young and didn't go anywhere and I'll be asking #8 out shortly!

And oh yeah ladies this is a huge reason many guys don't cold ask for numbers. You have no idea if she is single, or interested if she is single. I got 2 dates (assuming I get one from #8) out the 5 numbers I got out of the 8 girls I asked for #'s/dates. That's a 25% chance of getting a date, may not seem too bad but it's a pretty low percentage IMO.

We have developed a society now where the #1 place that people make connections is through their occupations.

There has been a traditional Taboo associated with dating someone at work or connecting with a customer.

That is in the majority a lie now.

People meet and begin relationships in relation to their occupations.

Lol it's over a span of about 17 months so that averages to asking for a number roughly 2.125 months so not a big deal IMO. However the first day I grew a pair and did it I got 2 numbers in one day! Now that's something to brag about. Of course I made a ROOKIE mistake and didn't call one girl because I got a date with the other and I deserve any flak I get here for that one lol!

It only needs one girl who feels bad about it and reports it to your manager and you are out of a job.

Think long and hard about if it's worth the worst-case consequences.
