Are women more happy/carefree than men because they know they can get a man whenever they want? Obviously not every guy is going to be "grade A", but for the most part a woman can get a man whenever she wants.

I've always wondered this. Women...beautfil women specifically always seem to be carefree when out and about. I think because they never have to worry about sex or finding a relationship, they can be 100% present in the moment. Then, whenever they want something from the opposite gender all they have to do is put in the least bit of effort and it is theirs.

I don't want this to come across as sexist, but just an observation. Are women happier because they have to worry less about dating/sex/opposite gender?

At 44, I am happier and more carefree than I ever have been.

It has NOTHING to do with men, or anyone else at all.

It's because I finally don't care what other people think, and I want to be me with no apologies.

There is more to life than dating and the opposite sex.

If a younger woman seems happy and carefree, I would assume it is because she is confident and has a full life - friends who make her laugh, meaning in her life, and plenty of joys. This may or may not include a boyfriend or attention from men.

This is true, but how easy one's life is has more to do with their own attitudes and choices, with a little good or bad luck thrown in, than what type of genitals they are carrying around in their pants.

We learn, at an early age, that there are men out there actively willing us to be unhappy for committing the crime of being female. So we form our support networks and covens, and we practice cultivating happiness in order to spite those would be agents of bad karma.
