OK, so I'm finally dating this awesome guy - yay! :bunny: - we're going on dates regularly, and he's up for just about anything. We've done a lot, and I'm running out of good ideas, specifically for evening dates.

He's more analytical and not as creative, so I feel I might be better suited to thinking this stuff up. Plus, he always drives and still mostly insists on paying, so I have no problem with coming up with ideas. In fact, I like it - I get to suggest whatever I want to do, and he's always up for it :D

Here's what we've already done out: dinner at many different places, jazz clubs, lunch, walk along the lake, beach on a hot day, long walk and slice of pizza, movies, late-night diner.

We're both brainy deep thinkers. Here's some of what we both like or are interested in or open to:

  • Technology, science, brainy nerd stuff
  • Entrepreneurship, start-ups, cool businesses
  • Music and theater of all kinds
  • Other cultures, world travel
  • Cooking and food

Beyond classy joints like jazz clubs, neither of us is that into bars or clubs for dates.

Here are my ideas so far:

  • Comedy club
  • Theater
  • Symphony
  • Planetarium on a late night (outer spacey show)
  • More music shows
  • Cool bookstores, like this awesome used book store I know - and yes, we would both love this!

Anybody else have ideas for night-time dates in summer? :bunny:

Come and visit New Jersey. Just kidding but look on the internet for things to do in Chicago and decide something fun to do.

Planetarium is a must.

Six flags - I love roller coasters, maybe not your thing.

Starved Rock - if you are into hiking

Navy Pier

Science and Industry Museum - My favorite, though I haven't been for a while

Aquarium
