Seperated but gone back

I'm new to this, it's first time I've done this but I'm a mess!

The story is I met a man who was seperated from His wife

She was buying him out of the house etc, they have no children they have been together since they were 14 now 28 grown he says they have grown apart and he doesn't have those feelings anymore. So we clicked and talked about the future etc and it feels right I'm 30 and have been around the block a few times so I know the drill and we have both fallen for each other, anyway he went cold and distant so I not being a pushover told him it was over to sort his head out and If he wanted me he could try but I'm not putting my life on hold for him, the wife had found out about me and basically was causing him misery with the money/divorce/dogs etc she is very controlling. Anyway he told me he def didn't want to go back fast forward a week of not hearing from him I deleted his number at that point as I will never have an affair or be the other woman anyway he phoned to say he had been back 3 days completely regretted it thought he might regret not giving it a go but now 100 % sure it's not what he wants he is going to leave this week he says he hasn't had sex with her, he loves me and can't stop thinking about me, i told him he should do what ever makes him happy, he said he would be back in touch when he leaves. Here's my problem firstly he went back without having the respect to tell me so would I ever trust him? Don't I deserve better? If he's been back before what happens if he does it again, I don't want to cut my nose to spite my face but surely if he loves me like he said he would be with me and never gone back. Help ???

My advice is simple: you're right and you know you are. Wait until he's divorced before you carry on with him. I'm separated, I don't know what my wife is doing or planning, or really how I will respond to many of the different possible outcomes. And if I were a single girl I wouldn't touch me with a bargepole right now
