How exactly did he ask?

Come over for dinner? Come over and watch a movie?

Come over to watch a movie and we will order some pizza!

He wants to sleep with you.

Now it is up to you as to whether you wouldn't mind:

A. Going over there having a good time and more than possible reject his advances.

B. Going over there and having a good time and then possibly cave into his advances.

C. Being honest and admitting that you aren't quite comfortable with that yet and would prefer a more public date.

I don't think any of them are wrong, it just comes down to which you prefer!

Just to clarify: this happened to me few weeks ago and I ended up telling him that I am not interested in seeing him anymore. I kind of assumed he just wanted sex. Just wondering what to do if this situation happens in the future...

I was probably too hasty but I don't think I missjudged the situation....

I don't rule them out for asking, I rule them out for pushing it on me if I decide to go with option C.

If I choose letters A or B, I can't blame anyone but myself since I went into it fully knowing what I was getting myself into.

One guy I went on a date with, on the first date asked me if I wanted head over to his place so he could make dinner. I told him, "as wonderful as that sounds, I am not quite comfortable with that yet, but I would love to grab something to eat!"

He was very polite about it and ended up treating me to dinner. We then went on a second date, and that went swimmingly! :D Third date still to come, but I am glad I didn't rule him out for asking that on the first date.

No, I was't looking for excuses. I know I am probably too quick to cut guys off...

At this point I am looking for true love  and I felt if he was serious he would put more effort in taking me out :/

Hate to say it, and I may very well be wrong... but men... still have penises.

& sometimes, they let them do the thinking.

Besides, no one can be that serious after the first date. *shrug*

Most guys that I dated don't suggest home dates early on.....

Miss J, sorry for thread jacking :o

I think you have a really healthy outlook on dating and socializing, miss jaclyn. :)

Eternal Sunshine, the guy I've been seeing for 6 weeks gunned for sex on the first date, and I dove right in. We had an early relationshippy talk yesterday, and at the end of it, he told me he was happy we'd talked and said he'll always be open and receptive to talking about anything that's on my mind and making adjustments so things get better. Wow! The talk could not have gone better.

Yeah, he wanted to have sex right off the bat - but that doesn't make him a jerk, a player, or any of that. He just wanted me. Can't fault him for that ;) (Obviously, I wanted him, too!)

wow I'm amazed you would linger around someone flaunting a swastika. Tho it would be awkward I'd excuse myself right there and then- as soon as I saw it...unless they were E Indian (where the symbol innocently originated from I think...)

He must be lying about being in the military. I don't think you can flaunt a swastica in the military.

Is swastika not swastica ..

I am almost married ET!

Yeah - sorry jaclyn but I'm with the others on this one.

I wouldn't be caught dead in public with someone who had a swastika shaved into his hair. In fact, I wouldn't be able to stand 5 minutes in the company of someone who would do that.

They are plenty around! It depends on your idea of a "Good Man" What do you consider a good man?

Morningggggg.

For those of you talking about the swastika... to be honest? I guess I didn't really know what to think at first!

I hadn't really even been on a date or even KNOWN anyone with one. I guess the reason I didn't make a big deal out of it was because he hadn't actually done anything that would usually warrant me leaving.

I also didn't want to jump to conclusions I guess. Either way, it isn't like I plan on dating him again so oh well!

The guy didn't even say a word to you, and you're going out on a date with him? Maybe i'
m
a weird guy, but I would've never even be bothered to ask out a girl I have no idea about, no matter how "hot" she is, what's the point. And he's leaving soon?

Nothing "wrong" with that I suppose, just make sure to wear a condom.

I think this blows up in the face that you need some extreme variation of rapport and above average "game" or some other social trick up your sleeve to get a woman to go out with you, 90% (or 100% if you're the OP) of it is looks. Somewhere in the world a Pick Up Artist is crying into his cowboy hat in the fold up bed of his studio apartment.

I get pissed at threads like this, it shows how looks are all you need for first impression.

I have been trolling random gals just for the fun of it. it actually can be really funny.

Its funny when women shame men with " the good looking guys are so charming and confident ". when it is obviously only their looks.
