So..I went out with another woman tonight. I had a good time...but at the end of the "date" she commented that I would be a great friend. When I asked her if she felt anything else towards me, she said...all I can see is that I would like you as a friend...is that not good enough? I felt there was some chemistry and "tension" there...but apparently she didn't. The interesting thing is, in a lot of ways, she reminded me of my "ex." But, I was really into trying to make it work with this woman...but didn't know if "making a move" would be right...

So, I got the nice guy curse...is there any way to fix this? Can I show her the other side of me?

Any help, especially from the ladies, would be greatly appreciated...I am really bummed...

After a night to sleep on it... I really feel like I messed up with this girl...but I don't know how to show her that I really want a second chance...

ooh, on a serious note...

maybe, just maybe she is like me and like some FEW others on these forums...who friendship is the most important start of anything beyond platonics(is that a word? sounds like ebonics and that ain't a word either :p ). Hmm, that is a thought.

Simply asking her for a second date is enough I think. But maybe this time as a test to yourself...make it known that you too would want her as a friend.

That's what it's all about people :)

I think one of the biggest problems with my ex...is that I wanted it to be more than a friendship...and I tried way too hard to make it that...which doesn't work. It will either happen or it won't. A very painfully learned lesson...

I may be repeating the same mistakes with this one... :-(
