Necris Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 After trying and zero success with women I have finally come to a realization maybe I'm not actually cut out for romantic relationships maybe the life for me is the single virgin life (like a boss). At first I thought that sounded terrible and I've always wanted to have a romantic relationship with a woman, the idea was enticing but I noticed it seemed impossible my only results being pure failure and constant rejection and I felt pretty sad, but now I'm actually cool with it and I realize a life alone isn't really that bad it could actually be more rewarding. I had to stop and think about my situation and I realized dating, relationships, etc. don't really have a point to them, even if I did somehow get a girlfriend how is that going to benefit me or her, what would I do anyway? There is also the negative that comes with it, spending more money, various forms and degrees of drama, etc. As for sex I'm a Christian so I'll have to be married first, but you can do without it. So what's the point?
miss_jaclynrae Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 There is no point. It is just a nice addition to ones life. 1
MrCastle Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 There is no point. It is just a nice addition to ones life. Yup. It's a compliment to your life, but shouldn't be your world.
USMCHokie Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 ROFLMAO. I knew you'd be the only one to get that...
miss_jaclynrae Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 I knew you'd be the only one to get that... & yet it makes SO much sense!
miss_jaclynrae Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 more basic allowance for housing? dingdingding!
Pyro Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 FTR I am familiar with the urban dictionary definition as well. 1
somedude81 Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 . As for sex I'm a Christian so I'll have to be married first, but you can do without it. So what's the point? Do you really think God is going to send you to hell for having sex without being married first?
Author Necris Posted July 24, 2012 Author Posted July 24, 2012 (edited) Do you really think God is going to send you to hell for having sex without being married first? Well it is a sin, but there is forgiveness. Anyway I should embrace the life of the single virgin boss. Unfortunately I'm not actually feeling as happy as I should but that should change, relationships are pretty pointless anyway. Edited July 24, 2012 by Necris
ThingsAreComplicated Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 how can you judge about something you have not experienced? Actually finding someone you really love and care about with all the implications is very rewarding. I'd even question: what's the point of being alone your entire life? 1
D87 Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Procreation is the most basic drive of all living things on earth. It is "the meaning of life", so to speak. As humans, it is our biological duty to ensure the survival of our species. Having lived and not procreated, your life served no purpose.

I think for guys like me and the op for self presevation its best for us to think the way the op described because when we thought about it from yuor perspective reality is to sad to think we cant get somethng so special becauee of lack of attractiveness
Author Necris Posted July 24, 2012 Author Posted July 24, 2012 how can you judge about something you have not experienced? Actually finding someone you really love and care about with all the implications is very rewarding. I'd even question: what's the point of being alone your entire life? I used to think like that, and felt sad and worthless that I couldn't experience a relationship but I have since realized there are several rewards for being alone. For one more money dating costs money but there is little to no benefit, you are just throwing money away. While I have never married and probably never will I know marriage and children cost a ton of money, and divorce that can cost you nearly everything. Also instead of wasting time on fruitless pursuits you can do something more worthwhile with your time, so more time. Also Less mind games, no need to worry about someone "breaking your heart" or whatever, less responsibility, just less drama overall. I probably missed a few but those are a few rewards I can come up with on the top of my head.
