Hey hey!

Been seeing this guy, would really like to cook him dinner next time he's over. Something nice. So I would like to ask you lovely gentlemen; what would you like to be cooked for you? What's a nice meal in your opinion?

Also, I don't want it to be cheesy or anything. So any suggestions on what you would like if a girl invited you over for dinner.

note* It is a date, though. I want to keep that feel to it.

Thanks!

And this isdate number....? Just be aware inviting someone over is alo invitation for intimacy. Watch out for the uninhibitions of alvohol and if it's a weeknight, kick him out at 10.

He's already been over, and stayed the night. We've both acknowledged the sexual tension, and that it's not going to happen just yet. Officially, I guess it would be date number six or seven. I feel very comfortable having him in my home. Hence why I just want to know what other guys would enjoy doing should they be in this position.

How about spaghetti and blue balls?

All kidding aside, I'm a sucker for pasta. Maybe salad and bread to start off? And then some sort of pasta with some nice wine to finish?

I think It would have been wise to get an idea of his pallet to find out what kind of food he likes to eat.

Personally I'm a steak and potato's kind of guy with veggies...very simple/plain but nothing more satisfying for me than a juicy well-cooked steak. Ribs would also be a big hit for me and some corn or beans (however be wary of unwanted tooting in bed)...If a woman cooked this for me on a date I would be in , big points for me.

I would say though just cook what you're good at, maybe a meal you've done many times before and received positive feedback. I would appreciate anything you went through the effort and cooked for me regardless of what it is, the gesture for me would simply be very nice...and If it tastes great then it's even better.

I really like Beefsteak Tatar with toast and a nice salad, and maybe a soup (Champagne-Creme or so) as a starter.

Or maybe something asian, duck breast with plum sauce and glass noodles.

A local speciality that I really like is Züri Gschnätzlets (Zurich Ragout). It's veal with a mushroom-cream-white wine sauce, with either potatoes or Röschti (swiss hash browns).

Haha! That made me lol!

But seriously what are your cooking abilities? I think you could do a dish that is important to you...like something your mom used to make. Something that you could tell stories about. I have a dish that is in no way fancy but very special to my family and even became a staple dish to my now ex-wives family. I love to share it with people I care about.

or you could make pizzas from scratch together. Let him help and top it the way he wants and talk and laugh as you cook.

or you could slow roast something like ribs, chicken thighs, pot roast and let the oven do most of the work while you guys enjoy a glass of wine or beer together.

Most importantly you guys will have fun

If he likes you, he's not going to pay any attention to the food.

Keep it simple. We're long passed the days when men are evaluating women's cooking skills. Make something that doesn't take long to make so you're not spending the whole day in the kitchen and it's pretty much done by the time he gets there.

Or you could go in a completely different direction and cook together. Stir fries are good for this. You can chop up things together and do a little bonding, and dinner cooks in a few minutes.
