magicallydelicious Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 I went on a date on Wednesday with a guy I met online, and albeit somewhat awkward at times, it was good. When the guy walked me to my car at the end of the night, he admitted he was kind of awkward at first dates, but told me he had a good time, and asked if I wanted to maybe grab dinner this weekend, and suggested Sunday (tomorrow) since he was busy the other nights. He also told me to text him whenever I wanted, and then told me to text letting him know I made it home. I texted him when I got home thanking him and telling him I had a good time, and he said "good, me too!", then the next night I texted something we were joking about on the date. He didn't respond for a few hours, and I had fallen asleep when he did, so I didn't say anything back. I haven't heard from him since then, and I'm not sure if he's lost interest. On our first date, he didn't set up all the times and places until hours before we were supposed to meet, so I dunno if this is the same type of thing, or if he just wasn't that interested. Any insight?
crosswordfiend Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 This is an easy one. He is waiting for you to respond to his text. He probably thinks that you lost interest on your end. Just text him something, anything, and he'll most likely pick up the thread again.

Any insight? Ugh. Texting and dating don't mix. Ever. Why doesn't anyone use the phone to communicate anymore? (he texted you last, so its your turn, btw) Call him on the phone and talk to him about getting together tomorrow. Then you'll know for sure whether or not he's still interested.
Author magicallydelicious Posted July 21, 2012 Author Posted July 21, 2012 well, I ended up texting him, but he didn't respond...and he uploaded a photo to facebook, so I know his phone is functioning. I think it's time to call it. Thanks for the help anyway, though.
