bobsmith76 Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 PLEASE, NO COMMENTS FROM GUYS, THIS IS A QUESTION FOR WOMEN this happened long in the past so nothing will happen between us now. i had this philosophy professor whom i would visit in her office about 6 times a month and i would usually stay for about an hour. she was about 32 and i was 34 at the time. she was married but it took me a very long time to figure that out. i would send her emails about once every 3 days but always about philosophy, i never asked about her personal life in the emails and when i visited her in her office i only got personal with her twice and when i did she kind of put on this face as if she were saying i'm being a bad girl. i felt uncomfortable about it because although i loved her very much i felt guilty about messing around with another man's wife. so when it seemed that things were getting inappropriate in her office i would leave. although she responded to virtually every email i sent her within 4 hours she would rarely let the emails evolve into a correspondence, she wouldn't answer the reply email but for some reason if i waited 3 days and i broached a new subject she would respond to that. when she taught class she would deliberately not look at me. it was pretty obvious that she was trying to avoid my gaze, but when i went into her office she was always thrilled to see me. the thing she would do that i was not sure about was she would sit in a revolving chair and she would swing her feet around and bring them within one inch of my own feet. she only directly touched them twice. she did this about half the time. i could never tell if the whole thing was a deliberate flirtation. after i was no longer her student it became more easy to control my desire for her since i wasn't seeing her twice a week. i took that opportunity to put her out of my mind because i didn't like encroaching on another man's territory.
