Miss your ex when you know you shouldn't, what is one thing you look back on to remind yourself he was horrible??

Mine was the night where my parents invited him over for a holiday dinner. They bought a whole food spread and my bf at the time agreed to be there at 7pm. He then found out what we were eating and started whining like baby because it was Lent. My parents went back out to buy platters of food JUST for him. I told him and he was placated. At 7pm I get a text saying that he was still at work, and wouldn't be able to leave in time to make dinner that we should just eat without him. No apology, nothing. He knew my family went so far out of their way just to accommodate him and his dietary needs. He also didn't even NEED to be at work, he just chose to put in that overtime so he could sell more. He didn't even feel what he did was disrespectful in any way, shape or form. He arrived late, after we had finished dinner, we had to re-heat his food. He sat there and ate alone, while at the same time just yawning in my parents faces, complaining how tired he was. Please!

I can't even believe I didn't kick his as* to the curb after such a disgusting display of disrespect to me and my family!!

Just tell myself that she changed from the girl I loved. I hate how she ended it all and ultimately broke my trust big time so how can I really want her back. Wip that pedestal from her and remember the FACTS.

I have two. one is when my ex sent me home in a cab at 8am from a bar because he was not ready to go home even though we started drinking at 11pm the night before.

the second is when I ran my first half marathon and he didn't even wish my luck before my race. I trained for it and it was a big deal to me.

I remember how he took advantage of how deeply I felt for him

How easy he found it to ignore me

How he had to be right about EVERYTHING!

His constant mood swings

Oh the list goes on...

I don't think the world would be able to handle two of them :p

Keep doing what you're doing, as soon as you start to idolize him think of his horribleness!

Oh God... he was knocked off his pedestal such a long time ago... but I felt a momentary pang a couple mornings ago... it was gone mere seconds after it started! UGH!

Only have to remember he changed me for his female "friend" which some years ago we had problems...

But also that he most likely dated someone else before dumping me and that he didn't care for our RS, he never wanted to do anything and later he get angry cause "never do what he wanted to" ¬¬ Stupid Ex

I hate how I tried my best to make it work, and gave in so much effort during the relationship, all I got back was the feeling of pain we are all so familiar to.

After realizing that, I laughed.

I hate how I put my heart on the line so many times. How I was so vunerable and he threw it all in my face. Just because a dr. said I might have a mild case of OCD, so not an accreddited pyschiatrist, it was almost like a light bulb went off in his head and he was like wow, so that's why shes the way she is, that's why we have the problems we do. Nothing to do with him at all. It was all me. I hate the fact that I put 100% effort into making our relationship work, I was willing to go to a counsellor, go on anti depressants but he just gave up.

I just keep telling myself that there must be someone out there that will love me enough to stick around through thick and thin and wont just bolt when the going gets tough.

Same here! My ex didn't put even ONE OUNCE of effort into the relationship. Every time a "problem" arose (ie: he didn't like something I did or said) he would just retreat into his cave for days and ignore me, and then one day start acting as if that never even happened. He never communicated, he used my love for him against myself to manipulate me, and whenever I said I wanted to work on the relationship he would agree and just blow smoke up my as*. He just said what I wanted to hear, but he never followed through with anything. He was always right, he never did anything wrong, I was always the problem, everything was always my fault, I was "moody" and "volatile" (I'd say getting upset that he lied CONSTANTLY and cheated on me is a valid reason to be "volatile"!!!) I gave everything to that kid and he just took and took and took and gave nothing back in return. It was as if he felt he deserved it all, or just expected it of me. What a turn-off!

that my ex gf was a snobby bitch and apparently none of my friends liked her.

Posted (edited)

-When we came home from a party, he put me to bed and said he'd be upstairs in a few minutes, and I found him drunk, passed out on the couch, with the OVEN ON at 5 AM.

-When I said I didn't want to hang out at his brother's house, and instead of leaving and taking me home, he walked me to his mother's house and put me in her guest bed, then went back to his brother's house and proceeded to drink until 6 AM.

-When he canceled plans on me to drink with his brother. (Multiple times.)

-When he would reprimand me for getting upset with him for canceling plans with me by saying, "My friends don't care if I cancel on them!". They are your friends. I am your GIRLFRIEND.

-When he called to come over and I said my (male) friend was coming over to watch a movie and he was welcome to come over when we were done, he showed up before my friend even got there, told me how stupid the movie we were about to watch was, and proceeded to sit in the corner while we watched the movie and play with his iPhone.

-When he would talk about how much he wanted to have sex with my friends, his friends' sisters, his sister's friends or just random women he knew. He did this ALL of the time without any regard to my feelings.

-Told me I should have sex with his friends. :(

-He would cajole me to cancel plans (work and social) to stay with him, but his social and/or work calendar ALWAYS came before me.

-The time he was spending the day with me and someone called him to play tennis in a town an hour away, where his mother lived. I had to go with him and wait at his mother's house and watch television while he played tennis.

-He just dismissed me constantly, my needs and desires took a backseat to his all of the time. It's like sometimes he didn't even process any of my requests to do something.

-The kicker was Valentine's Day plans; we were going to go to the museum and lunch. When he got to my house (empty handed, I might add), he didn't want to do that after all. So we went to McDonald's and to see an action movie. Not fun, definitely NOT romantic, despite his claim that he was "a romantic".
