Meeks7 Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 It really depends. Some girls like that validation much much more than others while others like it more when their man has a bit of an "edge" to them. Of course, a balance of compliments and light-hearted APPROPRIATE teasing is always ideal. Beth, my GF, likes to be complimented. Her love language is words of affection. I compliment her a lot but naturally, my personality likes to joke and rib here and there. I always show her that I care, though, and I think that's what matters most, at least, when it comes down to MATURE relationships. Not trying to boast that Beth and I are super mature or anything, but we're through with the games of dating and what have you. We communicate daily and that is the key. But it's different with dating vs. relationship. Dating, less (compliments) is definitely more, so to speak. Relationship, you should be man enough to show love to your GF through both words and action. But always have a spine and don't be afraid to disagree with her (in a loving manner, of course).
